When X started feeling alive, it wasn't because of better algorithms. It was because people showed up for each other. A "like" said your thought mattered. A comment said you weren't shouting into a void. That loop, post, land, get fed back was the whole engine. Now the feed rewards scrolling, not responding. We've been trained to consume without reciprocating, and the platform acts surprised the supply side is drying up. Scrollers aren't the disease. They're the symptom of a feed that stopped asking anything of them. And the people who still comment? They're carrying the entire social fabric on their backs. Burning out doing it. A tribe that stops feeding its storytellers stops having stories. Slow down. Like something. Say something. Not for clout, but because you care about the continuing of a quality story, experience, or piece of information. The thing you're reading might be the last good post someone almost didn't make.
