FEAR OR RESPECT? THIS MAN CHOSE RESPECT. Most people would run the other way if they saw a stingray this size. This man got down on his knees, carefully removed a fishing hook from its mouth, and returned it to the ocean. Stingrays can be dangerous when threatened, but they’re not out looking to hurt people. What impressed me wasn’t just his courage. It was his patience and compassion for a creature that couldn’t help itself. Sometimes respecting nature means helping it survive, not fearing it.
