Such a thought-provoking talk by Dr. Wendy Berry Mendes! From infants catching their mothers’ stress to emotions spreading between strangers, affect contagion shows how deeply our experiences are connected, and how much we can influence one another. @TheRealSPR #SPR2026

Super inspirational early-career award talk by Dr. Jenny Murphy. Can’t wait to see more applications of the PAT for measuring cardiac interoceptive accuracy, and more work linking anxiety and within-person interception variability across the menstrual cycle. @TheRealSPR

The “Breathing the Mind” symposium gave me plenty to think about! How breathing shapes brain activity, emotions, and heart–brain communication, and how virtual nature can slow breathing and reduce negative mood. So many connections to explore! @TheRealSPR #SPR2026
