the other thing you can do is deposit in Arkonix vault that combines PAXG with USDi for a safer version of owning gold. app.arkonix.xyz/earn/0xe1672…

BlackRock’s tokenized Treasury products pay income based on current short-term rates. When those rates fall, the income falls too. USDi does not pay interest. Its value adjusts with CPI itself. Treasury yield tries to offset inflation. USDi tracks inflation directly.
LATEST: 🏦 BlackRock launched two tokenized money market funds — BSTBL on Ethereum and BRSRV for stablecoin reserves — both designed to qualify as eligible reserve assets under the GENIUS Act.

A dollar can earn interest and still lose purchasing power. This chart shows the rolling five-year returns of CPI and short-term Treasury bills. For long stretches, inflation rose faster than short-term Treasury returns. That is the gap USDi is designed to address.

@VitalikButerin Most stablecoins answer one question: “Can I hold a digital dollar?” The next generation asks a better one: “Can I hold digital cash that protects my purchasing power?” That is the shift from dollar-pegged stablecoins to inflation-linked money. 1/7

Sector-linked inflation exposure could become one of the more important onchain asset categories. Healthcare inflation. Shelter inflation. Energy inflation. Food inflation. Not as speculation alone, but as a way to express and hedge real-world cost exposure. 6/7

The stablecoin market proved that people want programmable money. The next phase is programmable purchasing power. That is where CPI-linked and sector-linked assets start to matter. usdicoin.com 7/7

For the life of me, i dont understand why all of you havent already minted some USDi, at least for the rest of this month and next, when this month's return is a locked in 12.588% annualized and next month, while we won't know exactly until tomorrow, looks quite likely to be above 8% annualized. consider, if nothing else, you can sell it back on June 1!

Apollo’s Torsten Slok recently highlighted a simple but important market signal: Households want income, but they do not want duration risk. Since the Fed started cutting rates in 2024, households have been buying the front end of the curve and selling the long end. apollo.com/wealth/the-daily-…

Apollo’s chart shows the behavior already exists. Households are looking for ways to avoid duration risk while still doing something intelligent with cash. USDi exists because the underlying problem is bigger than yield. It is the erosion of the dollar itself.

That is the opportunity: Build financial products around purchasing power, not just nominal returns. USDi is one step toward that future.
