Here’s thought experiment for you: Imagine you spent half of your life with the person who is your best friend. You lived through ups and downs. You laughed together, you cried together. Life full of emotions and happy memories. Then you suddenly found out that this whole time, this person was a paid actor. No emotional connection to you. It was all an act. This person hasn’t felt anything you felt in those moments. They are not evil. Just do not care. It was their job, to play a role. Kind of like the Truman show. How does the meaning of those life events changes for you? Are they still as meaningful as they were before the reveal?
