My coworker spent one year in Tennessee.
He came back to Tokyo two months ago.
He is not the same man.
He says "y'all" in meetings. To our boss.
He holds the door for the entire floor. Twelve people. Every morning.
He asked the convenience store clerk how her day was going. She had to sit down.
He calls every man "bud." Including the CEO.
He refuses to describe anything under three hours away as "far."
He waves at drivers who let him cross. One driver waved back and almost hit a pole.
Last week, he told a junior employee, "I'm proud of you."
She went to the restroom and cried for ten minutes.
We thought it would wear off.
It didn't. It's spreading.
Three people in accounting now say "y'all."
The junior employee holds the door.
The convenience store clerk asks HIM how his day is going.
Tennessee, I don't know what you did to him.
Please do it to the rest of us.

Joshua Michael found an access token on Flock's public website.
No login required. No authentication. Just sitting there.
He downloaded Flock's entire database. 300,000 device locations. 170,000 cameras. 130,000 other hardware units. 27,000 acoustic detectors.
Made a map. Published it September 23.
The Senate held a hearing on Flock the same day. Cited Michael's research.
Flock panicked.
Sent a cease-and-desist. Used a brand-protection vendor called Doppel to claim trademark infringement.
The map said it wasn't affiliated with Flock. Doppel didn't care.
Michael's site went dark.
Then Proton moved it to Swiss servers.
Now it lives on protonmcp.org. Untouchable. Uncensorable. Hosted by an encryption company in a country that doesn't care what Flock wants.
The irony is crystalline.
Flock left an access token on the internet. Michael used it to download their own data. Published it. Flock tried to suppress it.
Proton said suppressing it is suppressing information.
Which is true.
The map shows Flock has 150,000 more cameras than they publicly claimed.
Shows acoustic detection units mapping human speech across the country.
Shows which police departments have access to the whole network.
Flock doesn't want that visible.
So they tried trademark infringement.
Which only worked until Proton decided transparency matters more than Flock's feelings.
Now everyone can see exactly how many cameras are watching their car. Where they are. Which cops can see them.
Michael warned Flock about the exposed token in November 2025.
Flock ignored him.
Then got mad when he used it.
The surveillance company that claims to protect privacy just tried to suppress the only map showing how much they actually surveille.
And failed.
‼️ Proton is hosting a map of 300,000+ Flock surveillance device locations that Flock tried to get taken down.
Researcher Joshua Michael says he pulled them from Flock's own systems via a token left open to anyone.
Proton calls the takedown "an attempt to suppress information."
Readers added context they thought people might want to know

She should not just resign.
She should be arrested, denaturalized, and deported.

Ive been using the Legion close to a decade and countless miles, still EDC with minimal wear. The Pheonix has been my go-to 3 day pack since launch, and Im tired of telling people they cant get it anymore.
Bring it back. This is a threat.
There has been extremely renewed interest in the Phoenix duty pack. I get tons of DMs and even phone calls about it.
I find this interesting because I only ever sold 1,000 of them, and even then they weren’t far behind the GIZMØ GLÏDÈR in sales velocity.
Over the last year and a half since launch, it’s my most requested item. If I offered this backpack in MultiCam under $200, Shopify would likely flag my store as fraudulent from how fast it would sell out.
Realistically, the Phoenix holds a special place because it was the backpack I always wanted to design and most importantly for my pettiness, I was proven right.
Also the amount of sleep GIZMØ and RÈBÈL lost from me walking around their pen at night testing out the load distribution is something they’ll never forgive me for.

Be lethal, White man.
🇿🇦 In South Africa, a father kills three carjackers in a shootout while protecting his children
He and his two children were leaving their yard when a white vehicle blocked them.
One attacker held a gun to the son’s head at the gate while another opened fire.
The father returned fire from the car, killing one on the spot. The other two fled but later died of their wounds.
