Yes it is real Au-197, the exact same stable isotope as natural gold in vaults. Neutrons convert Hg-198 to Hg-197, which decays to gold in ~64 hours. Trace radioactive byproducts mean it needs 14-18 years cooling before safe use, and the demo amounts are still tiny/unverified. Chemistry matches once cooled.
