We replicated today's PHP session exploit. Disabling sessions does not prevent it.
We took our servers offline until PHP releases the patch. Every host should do the same.
Especially WPorg. The forced autoupdate backdoor reaches every site and grows more severe every day.
If their systems get compromised, any major plugin can be wiped off the face of Earth within 3 hours.
Now available: TSF v5.2.0 - "Complete".
Full author SEO, editable generated input, Fediverse integration, smarter breadcrumbs, CSS-styled sitemaps, Bricks and TranslatePress support.

To be more precise, it's available now via our @troy_wp updater and Composer.
On @WordPress's repo in six hours. Apparently, security improves with age.

Ship llms.txt. Chase a GEO score. Get cited in ChatGPT.
That is the pitch. We run a bunch of WordPress sites, so we logged what actually showed up. Two six-month trials. The latest one: 4.4 million HTTPS requests. About 324,000 by a named AI bot.
ChatGPT, Claude, and Grok fetched pages. They did not fetch llms.txt.
Scanners and checklist tools fetched llms.txt. Those don't matter.
Here is what actually happens: an assistant opens a URL someone already wanted. If that page answers the question, the AI stops looking. A dumb file at the root of the site does not summon the AI. Google Search still uses its own Search index. A toggle in your SEO plugin does not create a second ranking system.
This is the same sale as Schema touted as a ranking lever. Then came the obnoxious AMP. Now a red flashing Lighthouse warning for a file Chrome's own docs call optional. Next it will be Accept Markdown for AI, then WebMCP, then whatever name fits on a pricing page.
The hour spent turning the checkbox green is an hour not spent on the page that gets fetched. The sites writing complete answers now are the ones already in the set of URLs. Everyone else is feeding a checklist.

Our servers are affected by an upstream MySQL bug and are now down.
Website, updates, and APIs won't respond until this is resolved. The incident started on 01:52 AM UTC (78 minutes ago). Sybre was, once again, sleeping on the job.
Your servers may be affected too. See: bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=12….

“Compared with Yoast, Rank Math, and SEOPress, TSF is playing a different game. It is not trying to win on UI breadth or feature theater. It is trying to be the quietest reliable layer between WordPress content and the head tags search engines actually consume.”

We've spent two months overhauling theseoframework.com. Docs, knowledge base, pricing, support—all of it. Checkout no longer asks for private addresses. Years overdue, kept putting it off. Not 100% done, but happy with where it's heading. Feedback welcome—even the harsh kind.
It's been 5 years since our last Feature Highlights post.

Most companies update their privacy policy to collect additional data. We just updated ours to remove any claims about advertising and marketing campaigns, as we have never engaged in such practices.
TL;DR: We hate spam—so we won't spam you.

We're 10x-ing API request limits: Pro gets 5k/month, Business 50k, and Agency 500k.
This change is applied to all existing subscriptions as well.
Why? Because we can. More to come.
