After skimming various posts about the Bond actor auditions, I wonder if Amazon should use them for the third season of 007: Road to a Million.
Music highlights:
“Star Collector” by Gerry Goffin & Carole King
“Goin’ Down” by Diane Hilderbrand, Peter Tork, Michael Nesmith, Micky Dolenz.
The Monkees, season 2, episode 10: The lads think they’ve been hired to perform songs at the Henry Cabot Lodge. They’ve been tricked to do basic jobs. Teleplay by Stanley Ralph Ross.
The Monkees, season 2, episode 9: The Monkees (minus Mike) become involved in an espionage operation involving a Soviet dancing company. Directed by James Frawley.
BTW: how did The Monkees NOT get inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? I know they began as a made-for-TV band. But they evolved to an actual band.
The Monkees, season 2, episode 8: Peter is fooled to buy a treasure map. Written by Stanley Ralph Ross. Directed by James Frawley. Cameo: Burt Mustin as Kimba. Music highlights: “Daydream Believer” by John Stewart, “Hangin” Around” by Mike Murphy.
The Monkees, season 2, episode 7: The lads venture into a hillbilly town. A hillbilly girl wants to make out with the lads, creating problems. Guest stars: Dub Taylor, Melody Patterson. Score: Lester Flatt, Earl Scruggs. “Papa Gene’s Blues” by Michael Nesmith.

After a while away, I updated the A1 Bond timelines with entries for Oct. 22 and 23. (The latter references a Daily Mail story that came out on Friday claiming Callum Turner was the first actor to participate in the new round of auditions spycommandfeatures.wordpress…
The Monkees, season 2, episode 6: Micky falls in love with a young woman but she’s smitten with a bodybuilder. Davy and Peter try to help Micky. Music highlights: “Sunny Girlfriend” by Michael Nesmith, “Love Is Only Sleeping” by Barry Mann & Cynthia Neil.
