How about North Melbourne supporters. Weren’t the kids at school that went weak around the knees and changed teams to support a big Club. Outnumbered in the school yard and the workplace. We are up for it. We love it. Kangas’ fans: Tried, tested, strong and true.

AFL Media has not put Eilish Sheerin in its top 25 best players of the W You have to wonder if they actually watch North Melbourne’s games to witness how super important and critical Eilish has been to the Roos constant winning xitter.cf/craig__s/status/211349…

Sheerin is unlucky not to be on that list; I doubt anyone would beat her 1-on-1 in the contest.

“I think North fans are excited that Nick Blakey can show the rest of that back 6, the whole lot of them, how to actually play, how to counter-punch, how to set up, how to play aggressive corridor footy,” - 2 time Kangaroos’ premiership defender David King sen.com.au/news/2026/10/22/a…

Rest in peace to Frank Goode
@TheTruthNMFC@TheTruthNMFC26 May 2021
Down in every quarter against Carlton at Arden St in rd 10, 1966, North kicked 4 goals in the last to win. Mike Quade’s 4th qtr goal came from Frank Goode’s handpass after he got kicked & kneed. Goode was hurt before a trainer in skull cap & long jacket rubbed his leg. Old school

If the events described in this article by Scott Gullan in today’s Hun are to be believed then Nick Blakey’s involvement in the Pullman 5 incident lies somewhere in between very minimal and sweet FA

When Peter Bell was delisted after 2 games at Freo he rang every Club. Pagan couldn’t believe it. Signed him. Bell kicked 4 goals in his first game for North, was a star in finals, & had a hall of fame career Duursma’s played 28 times & is no Peter Bell xitter.cf/stone1_matthew/status/…

Zane Duursma going out of his way to call Melbourne to ask if they’ll have him is wild. Sure other players have done it, but that’s first I’ve ever heard of it. He either loved Melbourne an enormous amount in his under 18 year or he despised North more than any human ever has.

I’m 50/50 on losing Goater. Injury prone & most attributes he’s bang average. But he is a good intercept marker. Which North needs more of. It needs to develop a good intercept marking defender but who also has other strong attributes. Like Comben and Blakey

I’m glad that we didn’t get Nick Murray for what we offered the Crows. He isn’t that good

An elite interceptor like Blakey is what North needs. Sydney made the most intercepts in the League in 2026 & Blakey made the 2nd most for them North’s position in the League for intercepts 2026 Last 2025 Last 2024 equal last 2023 2nd last 2022 Last 2021 2nd last 2020 2nd last

To sack a coach after he took us to an improved 9 win season, before giving up as many future picks as we are doing to trade in, then it’s finals or failure in 2027

How did Greg Miller trade in John Blakey in 1992 (for the 1993 season) from the Lions in exchange for pick 68 (Travis Miller) Travis played zero games Blakey played in 2 premierships in 224 games for the Kangaroos (and was picked as an emergency in North’s team of the century)
