I'm (finally) starting to upload my backlog of videos to Spotify. Search "TheVolgun - SCP Podcast (Official)" or beacons.ai/thevolgun ... and yes, this is actually me.

Hello @A24 - can you clarify if the movie is going to be released under the CC BY-SA 3.0 license and follow the rules listed here? - scp-wiki.wikidot.com/licensi… This is the only answer that matters if you’re adapting content from the SCP wiki or using the SCP name. Many thanks!

Their response statement is lacking in a lot of details. They didn't mention CC at all.

A24 is making a V/H/S: SCP movie without ever contacting the SCP Foundation Wiki The group says its Creative Commons license could let anyone upload the film to YouTube for free, despite reports that A24 has worldwide rights

IANAL but you can monetize on Creative Commons Share Alike (NC - Non-Commercial is the variant where you can’t). That’s cool. My concern about a potential SCP movie is regarding accessibility, ownership, and credit. (1/?)
Image is a grid representing different icons, in varying combinations, denoting Creative Commons subtypes. The second column defines each icon. Icon that is a human silhouette denotes “B Y”, meaning Attribution. Description: Others can copy, distribute, display, perform and remix your work if they credit your name as requested by you Icon is an Equal sign denoting “N D”, meaning No Derivative Works. Description: Others can only copy, distribute, display or perform verbatim copies of your work Icon is a cyclical arrow pointing at itself, denoting “S A”, meaning Share Alike. Definition: Others can distribute your work only under a license identical to the one you have chosen for your work Icon is a dollar sign with a strike through it, referring to “N D” meaning Non-Commercial. Description: Others can copy, distribute, display, perform or remix your work but for non-commercial purposes only.

Okay hi hello guys I did a bit of research. Turns out you CAN monetize off of Creative Commons but the specifics in which you'd be able to do this are very weird and I don't understand them at all

A message from Liam Óg: "A massive thank you to my legal team. Darragh, Jude, blinne, Brenda, Gareth and to all at Phoenix law. A special thanks also to my interpreter Susan. This entire process was never about me, never about any threat to the public and never about "terrorism", a word used by your government to discredit people you oppress. It was always about Gaza. About what happens if you dare to speak up. As people from Ireland we know oppression, colonialism, famine and genocide. We have suffered and still suffer under "your empire". Your attempts to silence us have failed, because we are right, and you are wrong. We will not be silent. We said we would fight you in your court and we would win. We have. If anyone on this planet is guilty of terrorism, it is the British state. Free Palestine! Tiocfaidh ár lá." – at East Ham, London

Hi @TeamYouTube - I'm trying to comply with the new "interruptive ads" thing and a major problem is the auto-detection bot that you're using thinks background music is "un-interrputable" ... all of the breaks I use have never interrupted me speaking. Is this going to be fixed?
