Catching up on AFL video and 17-year-old Angeibel Gomez turning around a 3-2 slider at 108 MPH for a double immediately stood out.
Double-A opponents hit roughly .120 against that slider this year with a whiff rate just shy of 50%. Safe to say Gomez is ahead of his years.
Dax Kilby (JB #80) has been one of the best breakout stories of the AFL so far:

2 XBH
.854 OPS
The 17-year-old has been one of the best stories of the AFL to this point.
