Looking forward to speaking at the Fearless Cities summit next Saturday in Sheffield, about how approaching class from an intersectional perspective will help the degrowth movement to connect with working class communities Hosted by @OpusIndependent @citizen_network + @DemeMove.

We need a just transition that centres workers' rights AND the voices of poor & working class people. In 2020, 91% of oil and gas workers we surveyed hadn’t heard of the term ‘just transition’. Brilliant project from @The_Class_Work and @_WCCA: 🔽🔽

In a nutshell: put 'em on the bloody panel discussions! There's a working class supporting base for degrowth - more than I think people might realise. But they don't want to sit and listen to a bunch of middle class people tell them what to do.
Replying to @ER_Roberts_
@ER_Roberts_ powerfully talking through #Degrowth and climate change at @AWCAcademics @GCU_SPIRU #AWCA2024 building collective power.

Guess who's back, back again? Lumpen's back, tell a friend.
Aaaaand we are back in full operation mode 😎 We have been quiet of late. That's because we needed time and space to sort out some difficult back-end organisational issues and have conversations about how we will work in the future. Details ---> theclassworkproject.com/post…

Recently, resident Aysen Dennis opened the doors of her 8th floor home on Aylesbury Estate. The whole housing estate faces demolition and is mainly empty. Her flat became a centrepiece of community resistance, hosting an exhibition of the struggle.
