Statement from @CarolineVoaden - below:   1 - “It's very strange that Farage has dredged up this incident, which happened five months ago while scrambling for an excuse as to why he wasn't in the Chamber for the Budget speech.”

6 - “It's the same old story, he just wants to be in the limelight, in front of a camera, taking centre stage rather than actually doing the job he's been elected to do.”

7 - “It's impossible to imagine him ever being leader of the Opposition let alone Prime Minister - he might actually have to show up and do some work.”

And we both know that’s not true Nigel don’t we? I’m still waiting for the apology you were required to write to me… Though I won’t hold my breath
🚨 WATCH: Nigel Farage says he didn't attend the Budget in Parliament to "avoid a physical altercation" "Given my prayer card [to reserve a seat] was removed, I was heading towards another physical altercation... being a quiet, shy and modest person, I decided against it"

EXCLUSIVE: @JoshBabarinde has told me “I was there and I saw myself— I saw Nigel Farage LAY HANDS on one of my woman Lib Dem MP colleagues, and it was pretty shocking to see”. This is the latest on the Commons saga referenced by Farage as to why he was not present at the budget.

New from MI5: The Iran-linked incident at RAF Fairford is “not unique”. Chief Sir Ken McCallum also said “those who seek to cause mayhem on British streets – whether hired thugs here or their paymasters overseas – will meet an unflinching response.” #news #raffairford #crime

This was such an eye opening podcast by the inimitable @louisetickle - I’m glad to see this being explored further and look forward to watching the doc.
"Four years ago Louise Tickle made a podcast called Fallen Women. It was about police failing to investigate signs of domestic abuse – and homicide – in cases of women who died falling from heights." observer.co.uk/news/national… "Now there’s a documentary inspired by that podcast (Stacey Dooley's 'Fallen Women', at 9pm on Tuesday 13th October on BBC Three and iPlayer), and one of its subjects, Killed Women co-founder Jhiselle Feanny, is calling on police chiefs to rethink how all fall deaths are investigated. Louise has the update, and it’s definitely worth paying attention to." [The Observer, 12 October 2026] 'A fall is a mechanism, not the context.' Listen to the Fallen Women podcast here: tortoisemedia.com/listen/the… Watch the Stacey Dooley 'Fallen Women' documentary here (after 9pm on Tuesday): bbc.co.uk/programmes/p0pfr16… #FallenWomen #BeesLaw #KilledWomen #EndViolenceAgainstWomen #DomesticAbuseAwareness

The prosecution has opened in the case of a Robotics student accused of murdering his housemate in Bristol. The court has heard Zack Coughlan admits stabbing 21-year-old Jamie Collins (pictured) around 30 times, but denies murder, alleging he 'lost his self control'.

Speaking to @mpmwilko on Green's Zionism motion: "It's a dereliction of duty on the part of the Green Party leadership to not have dealt with this better. But I think the Green Party needs to look internally about the values that it once held"

In a joint statement released on Sunday, Green Party leaders and MPs said they would "always uphold universal human rights" and that they will continue to work to make sure their party is anti racist "in every way".

On the back of @TheaRickard reports on Ofsted concerns earlier this month, Education Secretary Lucy Powell opened the door to future reforms, telling me @LBC "A new framework's been brought in, you know, that's supposed to be, you know, off the back of that terrible tragedy to make sure that that doesn't happen again. And we, you know, I've already spoken to Ofsted about this. "We have to be absolutely sure in our own minds that that is what this new framework is delivering, is an environment where no such recurrence of that could ever possibly take place. And we have to be very much in listening mode with headteachers and others on the front line to make sure that is the reality. And of course, if that means looking at— we absolutely will be doing so."
