Scientific American was once a high quality popular science magazine. Scientists like me read it from high school (late 1960s) on through graduate school. Then in the 90s it went from text-heavy to graphics heavy. Then it became political. Now it is dying. What a shame. This generation will never have the high quality articles written by distinguished scientists for a non expert readership. It was a STEM recruitment tool.
