NEW: @ElissaSlotkin reminds everyone of her remarks last week, conveniently forgetting when she told us to our faces that she wants to weaponize government to send “that deterrence message” to young conservatives who pursue government service. Despicable.
"We need to hold people accountable who have violated the law and use taxpayer dollars for corruption to enrich the president." Watch my conversation with @MeidasTouch here: youtube.com/watch?v=fa-tMtW8…

BREAKING: More US Senators are backing @SenatorSlotkin’s policy of selectively prosecuting Trump officials in order to scare young conservatives from government service, with @SenatorLujan professing his support. Authoritarianism is now the public standard of the Democrat party.
.@SenatorSlotkin should never face threats of prosecution for calling out corruption, no matter how angry it makes the president. Threats and intimidation have no place in our democracy. I stand with Senator Slotkin.

BREAKING: Congresswoman @RepKMR SUPPORTS @SenatorSlotkin’s policy of selectively prosecuting Trump officials in order to scare young conservatives out of government service, ironically saying “It's unacceptable to use the justice system to threaten your political opponents.”
.@SenatorSlotkin is a patriot, who has sworn an oath to serve multiple times. She called out blatant corruption and she was right to do so. It's unacceptable to use the justice system to threaten your political opponents. These continued attacks against her are dangerous, and they are offensive to the ideals we all hold as Americans. It needs to stop.

Nobody disagrees with this. But you said that you will SELECT which cases to prosecute based on how much they will INTIMIDATE young conservatives who wish to serve in government. We will not be silenced by a wannabe dictator like you.
I have been clear for some time on where I stand on prosecuting corruption and illegal acts. In a speech a few weeks ago, I said we need to hold accountable the people and institutions who stole billions of our taxpayer dollars and weaponized the government against its people. And we need a list of signature cases that go after some of the most obvious and harmful abuses of taxpayer dollars. If Kristi Noem steered $200 million in taxpayer dollars to a friend's company to make her TV ads, as GOP sources suggest, she should be held accountable. If Doug Burgum gave a $13 million no-bid contract for the reflecting pool, he should be held accountable. And if Jeanine Pirro used the Department of Justice to go after the president's enemies without any legal basis, she should lose her law license, in line with the law.

This Communist wants to form a one-party state by persecuting the opposite political party and scaring young people out of serving in government. She refuses to apologize for her sinister remarks and continues to double down on her authoritarian impulses. Sickening.
The Trump Administration is like a child who gets caught with their hand in the cookie jar.

Replying to @SenatorSlotkin
@SenatorSlotkin is lying. Read my latest op-ed in @realDailyWire here: dailywire.com/news/we-broke-…
Just a few hours ago, President Trump said in the Oval Office that I should be tried in court because I dared to talk about the corruption coming out of the White House. If I've learned one thing from this past year, it's that you have to push back. I'm not going to be intimidated out of standing up for the rule of law and the country that has given me everything.

BREAKING: A formal Senate ethics complaint against @SenatorSlotkin has been filed by @SecureUSA after she publicly admitted that she wanted to prosecute Trump administration officials so young people would fear for their legal safety if they chose to serve in government.
CASA has filed a SENATE ETHICS COMPLAINT against Sen. Elissa Slotkin after she publicly called for deterring young Americans from working in the Trump administration. Slotkin said she wanted prospective staffers to fear they could be “buying myself a ton of problems” by taking a job and made clear: “I want that deterrence message sent.” CASA is calling on the Senate Ethics Committee to investigate whether those remarks crossed the line from political criticism into INTIMIDATION of Americans seeking public service.

BREAKING: US senator @CortezMasto appears to SUPPORT @ElissaSlotkin’s policy of political persecution with the intent to strike fear into the hearts of young conservatives who wish to serve in government. Is this really the state of Democrats in Congress today?
.@ElissaSlotkin is right: President Trump’s administration is the most corrupt in my lifetime. And if you break the law, there should be accountability. It is despicable and dangerous to threaten a sitting U.S. Senator and her staff simply for doing their jobs and calling out this Administration’s grift.

More on my reporting for @ThinkerChicago on threats from @ElissaSlotkin to young conservatives and the upcoming midterm elections.
A sitting U.S. senator says she wants young people to think working for Trump "might be buying myself a ton of problems." Trump, asked about it: "That's a hell of a statement."

Sen. Slotkin is guilty of EXACTLY the authoritarian tactics she accuses the right of using. She said PUBLICLY that she supports political persecution to intimidate young conservatives out of serving in government. She needs to apologize. Now.
How do authoritarian tactics work? The goal is to create so many threats against you, your family, and your staff that you shut up. They wanna manufacture outrage. They all start repeating the same talking points. The goal is to crush your spirit. That fear becomes contagious. We can't let it.

I love how Elissa Slotkin is epically crashing out because a group of right wing college kids completely exposed her illegal, Bolshevik plans to politically target conservatives. She thought leftist UChicago was a “safe space” to divulge her authoritarian dreams and got totally owned by @ThinkerChicago
Elissa Slotkin claims that the only reason that she's being attacked for threatening lawfare against young conservatives for serving in the Trump administration is because she's a woman. 🙄

Going on @KatiePavlich on @NewsNation at 10pm eastern to talk more about this, including my coverage for the @ThinkerChicago. Tune in!
.@POTUS: "They've weaponized government. Slotkin is a low-life who is ruining her state, just destroying her state. What they're doing is really discouraging people from going into politics. They weaponized government, the Democrats — that's what they've done."

Slotkin is being attacked by @POTUS because she told us at UChicago and young conservatives that she hoped her political persecution would scare us out of serving our country in government. She continues to lie about her remarks, which is truly shameful.
This isn't my first rodeo with President Trump. After calling for me to be arrested, tried, and hanged for a 90 second video he didn't like, he is now attacking me for saying that there will be accountability for people who commit crimes on his behalf. It's simple. If you break the law, then you should be held accountable. If you are stealing taxpayer money and enriching President Trump or his family, then you should be held accountable.

Senator @ElissaSlotkin gleefully told us that she hopes to use political persecution to scare young conservatives out of serving in government. We won’t be intimidated. Thanks to @POTUS for calling it out here.
.@POTUS: "That's a hell of a statement. Slotkin said that there should be prosecutions in order to scare people from going into politics. That's a Democrat and that's what they do. That's all they're good at — and you know what? That's why they're getting their asses kicked."

Notice that in Senator Slotkin’s long-winded diatribe of victimhood, she fails to apologize for encouraging political persecution to intimidate young conservatives from serving in government. That’s because she’s proud of it, and she stands by it. Truly disgraceful.
This man, @mrddmia, who is suggesting I be shot, was in the mix to be President Trump's next Attorney General after he fired Pam Bondi for not prosecuting more of his political opponents. He is now at a MAGA dark money group, mobilizing death threats against me and my staff for sport. This shouldn’t be controversial: if you aid in stealing taxpayer money or directing it to enrich President Trump or his family, then you should be held accountable for that crime. That’s what I said, and I stand by it. And if you use the justice system for frivolous lawsuits used to intimidate and jail your political opponents, you should be held accountable for that via your bar status. No abuse of power and not violating the law? Then we have no problem. We know most Republican politicians are desperate to change the topic from their failing agenda. That’s how this kind of coordinated right-wing media play works. The threats and intimidation — of me, my staff, and my family — *are the point* of this kind of play. This dude and so many others are just hoping that we'll shut up in response. Not going to happen.
