Pafos FC suffered a disappointing 3–1 defeat away to FC Twente despite leading 1–0 at half-time through Lele's spectacular strike. Twente equalised in the 62nd minute before Lele's dismissal two minutes later changed the course of the match. The Dutch side capitalised on their numerical advantage, scoring twice more in the 76th and 82nd minutes. Pafos left the Netherlands empty-handed and remained on just one point.

Looks like Mayambela will slot in at right back.

The arrival of Andrea Berlinger-Schwitter at Akritas Chlorakas brings into the spotlight a prominent figure in Switzerland’s business and industrial sectors. The Swiss businesswoman, who heads the Berlinger Group, is now also linking her name with Cypriot football through an investment that aims to transform the club’s prospects.
The Berlinger Group is a long-established family business headquartered in the Toggenburg region of Switzerland, with operations extending beyond the country’s borders. One of its most recognised areas of expertise is the development and manufacture of specialised anti-doping testing equipment. Its systems and tamper-proof sample containers are used in doping control procedures across international sport, establishing the company as a major supplier in the sector.
At the same time, the group has developed considerable expertise in the healthcare sector. Through technological applications and specialised products, it focuses on monitoring the conditions under which pharmaceutical products requiring strict controls are transported and stored. This is an area where precision and reliability are crucial, as they are directly linked to product quality and patient safety.
Andrea Berlinger-Schwitter’s business activities extend beyond the company’s day-to-day operations. As Chairwoman of its Board of Directors, she plays an active role in setting its strategic direction and shaping its future. She also maintains a presence in Swiss economic and business institutions, including the St. Gallen-Appenzell Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The businesswoman is now embarking on a new chapter through her involvement with Akritas. The agreement provides for an initial three-year partnership, with the possibility of automatic renewal, with the primary objective of securing the team’s return to the Cypriot First Division and establishing it there for the long term.
Despite the arrival of the new investor, Vasos Theodorou and the existing Board of Directors will remain in their positions, ensuring continuity in the club’s management. [@SuperSport104]
Akritas Chlorakas president Vasos Theodorou spoke to Supersport 104 on the programme “Good Morning Sports”, hosted by Alkis Botsos and Andreas Poyiadjis, about all matters concerning his club.
“At the start of the season, we weren't getting the results we wanted, and we went through two managerial changes. Now, with Angelos Efthymiou, in whom we saw potential, things are going better. He will be given the time to work and demonstrate what he can achieve. We hope for better days ahead.
“All the players are paid on time, and our objective every year is to achieve the best possible outcome, which is promotion. Of course, our current league position doesn't allow us to make too many bold statements, but we are taking things one game at a time,” he said initially.
On Andrea Berlinger-Schwyter, who is interested in investing in Akritas:
“This is a partnership that began to take shape during the summer. She travelled to Cyprus, assessed the club's situation and its potential. We established good communication and developed a sponsorship relationship, and she saw for herself that this is a serious, well-run club.
“She is a highly respected woman and a serious businesswoman. She didn't want to enter the football industry and risk damaging her reputation. She is also involved in doping control.
“She saw certain things she liked, and we signed a three-year sponsorship agreement, with specific terms that both parties must adhere to. She will not be buying the club.”
He added:
“The aim is for the team to progress and expand its connections beyond Cyprus, including partnerships and sponsorship opportunities.
“We always want what is best for the club, and we want to achieve it in the right way. For the past six years, I have been fighting to ensure that this club can hold its head high. Every agreement we make is for the benefit of the club.
“We hope everything will run smoothly. Everyone must fulfil their responsibilities so that we can maintain continuity.
“The financial amounts involved will not be made public, nor are they sufficient to cover the majority of the club's expenses. They are fixed amounts to be paid on specific dates.” [@SuperSport104]

Angelos Tsolakis Departs as Head Coach of Apollon Ladies
Angelos Tsolakis has stepped down as head coach of Apollon Ladies, alongside his assistant coach, Antonis Giakoumis, following a mutual agreement to terminate their contracts.
Apollon Ladies announced the end of their cooperation with both coaches and thanked them for their contributions to the team.
The club paid special tribute to Angelos Tsolakis, highlighting his long-standing and wide-ranging involvement within the Apollon organisation, as well as his contribution as a role model for younger generations.
Official Announcement
Angelos Tsolakis leaves his position as head coach of Apollon Ladies. Assistant coach Antonis Giakoumis also departs.
The club's official statement reads:
"APOLLON Ladies announces the mutual termination of its cooperation with head coach Mr Angelos Tsolakis and assistant coach Mr Antonis Giakoumis and warmly thanks them both for their contributions to the team.
Special recognition is deserved by Mr Angelos Tsolakis, who represents an example of many years of dedicated and diverse service to the wider APOLLON organisation.
His presence and contributions have established him as a respected figure and a shining example for younger generations."
The departures mark the end of the coaching partnership at Apollon Ladies, with the club acknowledging the dedication and service of both individuals.
Angelos Tsolakis has issued a statement following his departure from Apollon Ladies, where he had served as head coach for almost a year.
“A CHAPTER COMES TO AN END…
The time has come for me to end my time as head coach of Apollon Ladies F.C. for personal reasons.
I would like to make it clear that my decision to leave was made quite some time ago and had already been communicated to the club’s President. I had informed him that I would bring my time at the club to an end after the two matches against Peyia and Omonia. It was a deliberate personal decision and by no means a spur-of-the-moment one.
Eleven months filled with hard work, daily effort, challenges, emotions and, above all, success!
During this period, we managed to win every domestic title, securing the Double in the 2025–2026 season, as well as the Super Cup! At the same time, we delivered outstanding performances in European competitions, demonstrating the ability and quality of this team.
A huge THANK YOU hardly seems enough for my players. For their effort, dedication, character and the heart and soul they put into this journey. Together, we experienced unforgettable moments and achieved things that I will always be proud of.
I leave with a full heart and nothing but pride in this team and everything we achieved together!
I would especially like to thank Antonis, Stelios, Marinos, Chrystalla and Mrs Androulla for their day-to-day cooperation, support and invaluable assistance.
A big thank you to the President, Mr Andreas Marangos, and the entire Board of Directors for the trust they placed in me and the opportunity they gave me to serve this club.
I sincerely wish Apollon Ladies every success going forward, both in the league and in the cup.
Trophies are important, but the people, the moments and the relationships built through football are what remain forever.
Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!
APOLLON LADIES F.C.”

Aris secured a dramatic 2–1 comeback victory over Anorthosis, scoring a stoppage-time winner in a thrilling encounter.
Anorthosis took the lead in the 29th minute through a Kalulu own goal. Aris were unlucky not to score earlier, hitting the woodwork twice through Charalambous and Effaghe.
Aris dominated the second half and equalised in the 59th minute when Effaghe fired a powerful shot into the net.
Anorthosis thought they had regained the lead in the 82nd minute through Marios Ilia, but VAR ruled the goal out for offside.
In the 95th minute, Matisyk headed home the winning goal to complete a remarkable comeback
Omonoia 29M secured a crucial 1–0 victory over Nea Salamina in Peristerona, thanks to a 77th-minute winner from substitute Dos Santos.
In a physical match with few clear chances, Omonoia 29M took advantage of home support and defended strongly to claim all three points.
Nea Salamina struggled to create opportunities, managing only a few long-range efforts and offering little attacking threat.
The victory lifted Omonoia 29M to 11 points, providing a much-needed boost, while Nea Salamina remained second from bottom with just 6 points, increasing their relegation concerns.
Omonoia defeated AEL 2–0 at the GSP Stadium, ending a three-match winless run.
Diony opened the scoring with a penalty in the 13th minute, before Montnor doubled the lead with a header from Evandro’s assist in the 33rd minute.
The victory moved Omonoia into third place, level with AEL on 15 points. AEL suffered their second consecutive defeat, with injury problems adding to their concerns.
