How do NHS Trust implement change in their working practice after a CQC report that recommends change? Please can I have lots of response.
1/2 On World Patient Safety Day, it is worth recognising that the NHS achieves a great deal of patient safety because of the dedication and professionalism of its staff. However, committed people alone cannot compensate for an ill-defined and inconsistently managed working
4/4 While the NHS has developed its own patient safety strategies and governance arrangements, it has not broadly adopted BS ISO 7101 as its management system framework. On this Patient Safety Day, I urge NHS leaders to consider what ISO 7101 could contribute to a more systematic
2/4 environment, where error and inefficiency remain persistent risks. The NHS has many policies and procedures, but these are not the same as a comprehensive, organisation-wide management system. For decades, the British Standards Institution (BSI) and the International

I will be presenting a paper at the 'Towards Relational Public Services Conference 23rd-25th June 2026, Dalton Building, Manchester Metropolitan University, Manchester' on the 23rd all about 'Leading from the back'. Also, importantly, how to instigate the change. Please join me.

Just back from my Coast 2 Coast walk! 12 Days some sun but lots of rain. Very cold. -4 recorded at Shap according to the radio. Strong wind made camping difficult in my summer tent! The odd day with no food. 7am starts wet and cold after a rough night's sleep. Loved every second
I completed the Malvern Trail Half Marathon in walking boots and carrying expedition kit last Saturday in preparation for Wainwright's coast to coast walk starting this Friday. It was a warm day for the half marathon but good training. I'll be 'off grid' for at least 2 weeks!
I'm a bit late getting started but better late than never. Please support the Big Tommy Sleepout and The Royal British Legion with a couple of quid. Thanks See:

'Seeing a problem, finding a solution and implementing it is completely the wrong mindset for leading a continuous improvement organisation' May be not the leader but someone has to do it! A good 'leader' would support a Management System that would do the job.
So the Government are blaming the 'process' for the fact that Peter M ended up in America. The same 'process' they say that the previous Government had in place so they are to blame as well! Have they never heard of 'Continual Improvement' (CI)? Take note NHS.
I think that the CQC should be accredited by UKAS for a specific NHS relevant standards. It would be expensive to set up but not only would it save money in the long run but the CQC would spend more time at the front line of healthcare. That would be good.
