Clearly the UN’s message of #NoNaturalDisasters isn’t getting across?
Perhaps reading @IlanKelman book ‘Disaster by Choice’ will change your mind.
@blackwellbooks
Excited to find a disaster research shelf in @blackwellbooks Oxford but a little disappointed to find it titled ‘Natural Disasters’. The irony of finding @IlanKelman’s great ‘Disaster by Choice’ on said shelf was not lost on me. @NoNatDisasters

Finally, for me, the most interesting experience is seeing who actually engages with a post like this on #twitter esp when it might make them feel uncomfortable. The lack of engagement from some is also always very telling! As @minoritisedNHS said...#DEI is not an option for us!

Which brings me back full circle. Without an incentive to change, those in positions of privilege will not make way for #PeopleOfColour. Individuals themselves may not be outright racist but their behaviour continues to uphold structural #racism. The merry-go-round won't stop.
