My answer? Don’t come thinking once will be enough.
South Africa is never one story. It is many stories, woven together into one magnificent journey at a time.

After more than forty years here, I have yet to meet anyone who leaves South Africa feeling they have had enough.

23 January 1900. Battle of Spion Kop began. It ended in a Boer victory over British Empire forces. Several terraced areas of football clubs were named in honour of local soldiers who died in the battle, including Liverpool’s famous terraced area the Kop, which is now all-seated.
