After extensive tests today, Tyquan Thornton is expected back within 12 to 16 weeks, sources say. He’ll have surgery within the week and there is a real chance at a late-season or playoff return.

I know it’s a freak accident, but you have to trust patterns. I believe this is more of an issue with his spine and the pressure it puts on the lower half of his body. It’s unfortunate, but I believe its in the best interest of the Thunder to make this move in the summer.

Type of night I just sit here after the game feeling nauseous. Dub spent the entire offseason training with Shai specifically to avoid the nagging muscular injuries he’s already dealt with just for something freak like that to happen. Just devastating.
