🇺🇸 WE WILL NEVER FORGET 🇺🇸 Today, 25 years after the attacks of September 11, 2001, Tift County Football pauses to remember the innocent lives lost, the heroes who ran toward danger, and the families forever changed. We honor the courage, sacrifice, and unity shown by our nation on that day and in the years that followed. May we always remember. 🔥🏈 40 MILES NORTH. LET’S TAKE TIFT COUNTY WITH US. 🏈🔥 TIFT COUNTY (2•1) AT CRISP COUNTY (2•0) Friday night hurt. Another rainy Friday night. A tough loss. A scoreboard that did not fall our way. But hear this loud and clear. ONE LOSS DOES NOT DEFINE THESE YOUNG MEN. It does not erase the work. It does not erase the sacrifice. It does not erase the early mornings, late practices, sore bodies, sweat, preparation, or pride that comes with putting TIFT COUNTY across your chest. And it damn sure does not change who we are. Our Blue Devils did not stay down. They got back up. They went back to work. They are learning. They are growing. Their heads are high. Their eyes are forward. THE PAST IS THE PAST. Now there is another opponent standing in front of them. 🔥 CRISP COUNTY. 🔥 UNDEFEATED. 🔥 40 MILES NORTH. And Tift County needs to show up. Not just when we are undefeated. Not just when everything is going our way. RIGHT NOW. Because anybody can cheer when you are winning. FAMILY SHOWS UP AFTER A LOSS. Family gets louder. Family fills the stands. Family reminds those young men that when they walk onto that field wearing TIFT COUNTY across their chest, an entire community is standing behind them. Friday night, let’s make that visitor section look like BRODIE FIELD MOVED 40 MILES NORTH. 💙 Wear the navy. 🩶 Bring the silver. 🤍 Bring the white. 📣 Bring your voice. And PACK THOSE STANDS. 🍔 BIG SHOUTOUT TO CHECKERS! 🍔 A huge THANK YOU to Checkers for providing hamburgers for our Blue Devils after practice yesterday! 💙🤍🩶 Feeding a football program takes a village, and support from local businesses and community partners makes a tremendous difference. These young men put in the work every day, and having a hot meal waiting for them after practice means more than you know. Without businesses and supporters like you, so much of what we do simply wouldn’t be possible. Thank you, Checkers, for investing in our players and supporting Tift County Football! 🏈 💙🤍🩶 We appreciate you! #TiftCountyFootball #BlueDevils #CommunitySupport #ThankYouCheckers #BeElite #LetsGoBigBlue @CoachLit22 @Coachcecil7 @LeVar919 @BlueDStrength77 @Coach_fig06 @tiftcoathletics @dbails9 @CoachE_Smith10 @CoachZackBrown @coachmiller99

💙🩶🤍 IN MEMORY OF COACH ROY McWILLIAMS 🤍🩶💙 The Tift County Blue Devil family mourns the passing of a man whose fingerprints will forever be a part of our program. Coach Roy McWilliams was a Blue Devil. Coach McWilliams began his coaching career in Macon, Georgia, where he served as Offensive Coordinator for Central Macon’s 1975 State Championship team. In 1976, he joined Coach Brodie and others in making the move to Tifton, beginning a chapter that would help shape the history and tradition of Tift County athletics. For 17 years, Coach McWilliams served as Tift County’s Offensive Coordinator, helping lead some of the most memorable teams in Blue Devil history. 🏈 In 1979, Tift County defeated Valdosta twice, captured the Region Championship and advanced to play for the State Championship. 🏆 In 1983, Coach McWilliams was the Offensive Coordinator when the Blue Devils brought home the State Championship. But his impact went far beyond Friday nights. Coach McWilliams also spent many years as an assistant baseball coach alongside Coach Tommy Seward. He took tremendous pride in helping improve the facilities generations of Blue Devils would call home, including work involving Brodie Field, the field house and the weight room. His contributions were formally recognized when he was selected as a 2022 inductee into the Tift County Athletic Hall of Fame and officially inducted in February 2023. Championships are remembered. Facilities can stand for generations. But a coach’s greatest legacy is found in the countless young people, fellow coaches, families and communities whose lives were better because he was part of them. Today, we remember and honor Coach Roy McWilliams for his decades of service, his commitment to Tift County and his place in the history of Blue Devil athletics. Our thoughts and prayers are with Coach McWilliams’ family, former players, fellow coaches, friends and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. 💙 Once a Blue Devil, Always a Blue Devil. 🤍 Rest easy, Coach. 🩶 🏆1983 STATE CHAMPION 🏈 17 YEARS TIFT COUNTY OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR ⭐ TIFT COUNTY ATHLETIC HALL OF FAME CLASS OF 2022 💙🩶🤍 #TiftCountyFootball #BlueDevilFamily #OnceABlueDevilAlwaysABlueDevil #TraditionToughnessTift

🏈 COACH LITTLETON AT TODAY’S CHAMBER MEETING 🔵⚪️ Tift County Head Football Coach Jeff Littleton spoke at today’s Chamber meeting and gave everyone a look inside the work, preparation, and expectations behind the Blue Devil football program. Coach Littleton is entering his 34th year in coaching, with 14 years as a head coach, and is now in his third year at Tift County High School. One thing he made very clear: he is super proud to be here and proud of what is being built in Tift County. Today, the Tift County football program includes approximately 325 kids from 6th through 12th grade. At the varsity level alone, the investment is roughly $2,500 per player when you factor in equipment, supplements, protein, and everything it takes to properly develop and take care of these young men. Coach Littleton made a point to thank our community for the tremendous support it continues to give the program. And the goal is clear: 🏆 Build a championship program. But championships aren’t built on Friday nights. They’re built throughout the year. From January through March, the focus is weights, conditioning, nutrition and getting bigger, faster and stronger. In April and May, spring practice shifts the focus toward technique and fundamentals. Then comes the summer grind. From June through August, the program completes 38 summer workouts. This summer, 132 players from 9th through 12th grade have been putting in that work. One of my favorite things Coach Littleton said today was that they don’t talk to these young men about making sacrifices, they talk about making investments. Investments in themselves. Investments in their teammates. Investments in their future. And football is only part of it. The coaching staff wants to teach these young men standards and values along with the X’s and O’s. The process centers around: 🔵 Focusing on the present ⚪ Discipline and consistency 🔵 Execution and preparation On the field, the Blue Devils return nine starters, four on offense, four on defense and one kicker, and Coach Littleton said the program’s depth has grown tremendously. Tift County will compete in Region 2-6A, and Coach Littleton also talked about just how special high school football is in this state. In his view, Georgia is one of the best states in the country to play football. But perhaps the biggest message of the day was simple: Don’t worry about the end result. Focus on the daily tasks Monday through Thursday. Take care of the preparation. Take care of the details. Be disciplined. Be consistent. Execute. Then let Friday night take care of itself. Coach Littleton closed by thanking the Tift County community for continuing to stand behind these players and this program. The goal is a championship program, but the process of building it happens one day, one workout, and one investment at a time. 🔵⚪️ Tradition. Toughness. Tift. 🏈

These are the future Friday Night Blue Devils, and the support we give them now matters! 🏟️ ALL SUBVARSITY HOME GAMES WILL BE PLAYED AT TIFT COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL! Bring the family, wear your NAVY & WHITE, get loud, and let these players know TIFT COUNTY IS BEHIND THEM! 🔵 9th Grade Football ⚪️ JV Football 🏈 THE FUTURE IS BLUE! Tradition. Toughness.
