It was great to be back at the wonderful Lewis and Clark National Historical Park. Thank you to the National Parks Conservation Association and @RepDexterOR for the conversation about how we can keep fighting to preserve and protect the peoples' parks.

Every single person in Iowa is effected by the water quality crisis. But instead of addressing it head on, our elected officials have simply ignored the problem. From increased monitoring to transparent manure management plans, tax benefits for conservation efforts, and the largest increase in wetlands in state history - we can and should be doing more. Here are a few of my ideas on how we address it. bit.ly/3OzFKI3

The Trump administration has blocked at least $4.4 million for Nevada’s national parks, putting flood warning systems, wildlife conservation, and critical maintenance at risk. Our public lands are part of Nevada’s heritage and economy. We must protect them, not defund them. nevadacurrent.com/2026/10/14…

At our debate, Harris blamed high diesel prices on “Democrats’ environmental regulations.” The room laughed, and he threw a tantrum. Democrats, Republicans, and independents can all agree on this one: that answer was laughable. Even Republican commentator Clay Mitchell called it “just silly.” I’m running to represent ALL of Maryland’s 1st district. That starts with being straight with you about costs and respecting you even when we disagree. Mail-in voting is already underway, and early voting starts soon on October 22nd. We have a real shot at beating Andy Harris and giving MD-01 the chance to be represented by someone who wants to listen to them and respect their voices. Chip in today to help us win! secure.actblue.com/donate/ds…

Lew has told us for YEARS that his dream is to graze bison under solar panels. We've been treating this with about as much seriousness as it deserves coming from someone who still needs help tying his own shoes. But...I've always said, "never say never." When we first started solar grazing with sheep, we were told it would never work. We started thinking about doing it with cattle. "Doesn't work." And obviously, both have worked out wonderfully for us. And now here's a project at Standing Rock combining solar energy with buffalo restoration. We're certainly not rushing out to buy a bison herd. But we do have an impressive track record of proving ourselves wrong. Lead, follow, or get out of the way. Agrivoltaics is here. And it's only getting bigger. tribalbusinessnews.com/energ…

The climate crisis is a health crisis. That's why I have written to Yvette Cooper to ask her what discussions she has had with the Secretary of State for Energy Security & Net Zero about the potential health impacts of emissions from allowing drilling at Rosebank and Jackdaw.
The Energy Secretary says North Sea drilling “won’t take a penny off energy bills.” The Health Secretary says summer heatwaves put pressure on the NHS. So where’s the Government’s impact assessment? If they don’t have one, they must delay the oil & gas decision until they do.

Climate change killed 32,000+ people in Europe this summer. Trump believes this crisis is a "hoax." Republicans in Congress are following their "Great Leader.” NO to Trump’s fossil fuel agenda. YES to creating millions of jobs by moving our energy system away from fossil fuels.

Denmark 🇩🇰 shows the way - electric cars reach 90% of the market. Six years ago, battery electric cars made up less than 10% of Denmark's new car market. In September it reached 90. To catalyse this transition, Denmark helped make electric cars more attractive to buy and own: ✅ Substantial registration tax reductions for electric cars. ✅ Grants for charging infrastructure in housing associations. ✅ Building regulations requiring charging infrastructure in certain car parks. These measures address both the purchasing decision and the practical question of where people will charge. With more than 800,000 electric cars on the road, Denmark is displacing 13% of the country's entire oil consumption - becoming more energy independent! For long we in Norway was alone at the world electric car per capita top. Now we are joined by Denmark. China, Nepal, Ethiopia, Vietnam and some other European countries are right behind. The future of driving is electric!
