Every hour, billionaires pocket more wealth than the average worker earns in a year. Yet the Ford government won't ask them to pay their fair share. That’s unacceptable in a province with record homelessness, endless hospital waits, and overcrowded classrooms. It's time for a wealth tax.

Maybe the Canadian government should go after the monopolies that collude and price gouge. Ie. Cell phone, banking, grocery, petrochemical, and utilities! But they all donate and support the Conservative and Liberal parties. Pay to play is alive and well in Canada!
I'm not an economist so can someone please explain to me how raising interest rates due to rising prices caused by the Iran war will do anything but kick Canadians when they're down? I understand the principle when our economy is growing too fast causing inflation, but this just doesn't make sense to me. globalnews.ca/news/12123982/…

Nothing to do with diagnostics. Too many patients waiting for LTC and alternate care sitting in a hospital bed. Then add too few beds overall. Hospital capacity is at or above 100% at most hospitals.
Ontario should be much more aggressive about moving diagnostics and routine medical procedures out of hospitals and into private clinics. Let private providers compete on price, quality, and convenience, whether patients are paying through OHIP, private insurance, or out of pocket. Not everything needs to happen in a hospital, and not everything needs to be delivered or paid for by the government.

But if a MPP wastes taxpayers’ money they get a new job with a pay bump! Meanwhile, students who have done nothing wrong suffer while their OSAP is frozen.
Premier Doug Ford is promising the "bad actors" in Ontario's private career college sector will "go to jail," even though the OPP has yet to launch a formal criminal investigation. Meanwhile, the government still hasn't cleared up why it can't take a surgical approach to the OSAP pause. #onpoli

But #OntariosQueenofDeath has added highway medicine the the @fordnation healthcare offering as the temporary and permanent closures of healthcare facilities is also off the charts!
The end to hallway medicine has been postponed.

Good indepth story here by @aidenchamandy The facts: Unprecedented highs for hallway health care since 2018. Even after adjusting for population growth. The ford government has failed on health care. Patients don’t need to wait like this. They just need care. It is time for real solutions: leefairclough.ca/policy/heal…

Stay on his ass Tyler! You're kicking ass hun.
Today, I asked Doug Ford to fix OSAP, honour funding commitments to students who have been cut off, and fire his Minister of Colleges and Universities over the billion-dollar OSAP fraud scandal. The Premier didn't answer. His Minister did, but avoided taking accountability for the government's failure to stop suspected fraud despite years of warnings. As usual. Students deserve answers, not excuses. #onpoli @OntLiberal

Ford announces $8 BILLION in business tax relief, promising 30,000 jobs and $11 BILLION in investment. But these are projections, NOT results. How were these numbers calculated? Who’s tracking the actual jobs created? Ontarians deserve accountability, not another headline!
The Ontario Competitiveness Tax Cut will support 30,000 new jobs here in the province, lowering costs for businesses in the face of tariffs and delivering on our promise to build the most competitive economy in the G7.

The Minister of Colleges & Universities gets a standing ovation at Queen's Park for refusing to resign. The call came from the interim Liberal leader, who accused Nolan Quinn of continuing to send hundreds of millions of OSAP dollars to private career colleges despite warnings.

Completely out of touch.   Warned since 2023. Did nothing. Allowed hundreds of millions in OSAP funding to keep flowing while the system deteriorated. Now reputable students are paying the price.   Students who've maxed out their credit cards just to survive, facing eviction, or being forced to sleep in their car.   And they gave the minister responsible a standing ovation.   Shame on them. #onpoli

Imagine being so medically unwell that you need emergency hospital care and all your medical assessments and treatment occur while you are in a crowded hallway. It’s inhumane.
Ontario’s hallway health care numbers have hit unprecedented highs: On an average day in Jan 2025, Ontario hospitals treated 2,088 patients in hallways, break rooms and other spaces never meant for care. It was the most since Ontario Health began tracking the number in 2017 and 52 per cent more than January 2018, the winter before Doug Ford won a majority government promising to end hallway health care. Congratulations Premier Lardass, you set a new record. Doug Ford is purposely destroying our public healthcare by investing our tax dollars into the private care system. This needs to end! @fordnation you suck!

Rotten government from the top down. Ford ok’d everything and told them to shut up about it.
How many Ontario teachers were able to charge $22k to tax payers and sleep at a luxury hotel 6km from their homes because they wanted to help their wife with "sleep training"? This is truly absurd! @StanChoMPP is a symbol for all that is wrong and corrupt with this govt. #onpoli

Of course the CORRUPT @OntarioPCCaucus is happy to support the lead minister in funneling tax payer dollars to their corrupt cash brown envelope donors!

First of all there is limited to no care in that hallway. It’s just government sanctioned torture of the elderly, the frail and the vulnerable. Second. Doug Ford has promised on four occasions now to fix it and he has not delivered - nothing, nada, squat.
The number of people suffering through hallway healthcare have INCREASED 50% since the Ford government took over in 2018. He said he’d make it better but he made it significantly worse!
