We remember Sir Patrick Stewart, who died on 28 October at age 86, leaving a remarkable legacy on stage and screen.
As Captain Jean-Luc Picard in Star Trek, Stewart brought intelligence, dignity, and moral courage to the responsibilities of command. His portrayal had roots in naval fiction: Gene Roddenberry encouraged him to read C. S. Forester’s Horatio Hornblower novels to help shape the character.
His maritime roles also included Captain Ahab in Moby Dick (1998) and Captain Nemo in Mysterious Island (2005)—commanders whose very different journeys explored obsession, ambition, and the consequences of power.
From the quarterdeck to the bridge of the Enterprise, Stewart gave unforgettable depth to the figures who stood in command—and invited audiences to consider what leadership requires.

#OTD in 1882, Fleet Admiral William F. “Bull” Halsey Jr. was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey. A Naval Academy graduate and naval aviator, Halsey led U.S. forces in the South Pacific and commanded Third Fleet during World War II.
His aggressive leadership helped shape the Pacific campaign, while his decisions at Leyte Gulf remain subjects of debate.

This truly fantastic sculpt has so much presence and vibes the ferocious and determined personality VIka Fenryka.
Painted in the classic blue grey armour colour with subtle warm purple undertones to contrast the colder blue armour.
The sculpt has some smart details to be painted in red and warmer colours to balance the temperature across the piece which we loved paintina.
Flanked by his two savage wolves which were also stunning to paint and that are monstrous in size bookending Logans composition and finishing off an exquisite piece.
