Tonight, British Columbians chose a new direction. We’re doing this for our sons and daughters. For the future they deserve and the province we owe them. Thank you, British Columbia, I won’t let you down.

Congratulations to @LDoerkson and the @Conservative_BC on a strong majority mandate to bring common sense Conservative principles to British Columbia. I look forward to working together to save Canadians money and jobs, lock up criminals, reduce immigration, and put Canada first.

I condemn the horrific terrorist attack on the Greek Orthodox Church of Saint George in Karak, Jordan. Opening fire on families mourning a loved one is an act of profound evil. We stand with Jordan’s Christian community and pray for the victims and their relatives. No one should have to fear for their life in a house of God. Memory eternal.

Upwards of 500 jobs are at stake and another strongly worded letter will not help Stelco workers put food on the table. It is time for the Liberal government to take real action to protect our steel industry and workers. Our Conservative Steel Plan will protect Canadian steel jobs, enforce the promises made to Stelco workers and build more of what Canada needs right here at home. globalnews.ca/news/12113124/…

Small businesses are the heart of our communities and the engine of Canada's economy. This Small Business Week, let's celebrate and support the hard-working Canadians who take risks, create jobs, and build something of their own. Conservatives will fight to make this a country where that entrepreneurial spirit is rewarded with a brighter future and an affordable life.

When farmers, truckers and businesses face rising fuel costs, Canadian families pay the price at the grocery store. Nearly three-quarters of food banks report that rising fuel prices have had a moderate or significant impact on demand.

Every Canadian deserves to feel safe in their own home. My Bill C-293, the Safe at Home Act, would make violent home invasion a distinct criminal offence, with tougher penalties including a five-year mandatory minimum sentence, a maximum life sentence, and reverse-onus bail. It’s time our laws recognize the severity of these crimes and hold violent offenders accountable.

Bad Liberal economic policies have real consequences for Canadians. Food Banks Canada recorded 2.35 million visits in a single month, the highest number ever recorded, with children making up one-third of food bank clients. Canadians are working, but their paycheques are not keeping up with the cost of everyday life.

BREAKING: Food Banks Canada reports food bank visits have hit another record high under Mark Carney. Up 9% in one year. After 11 years of Liberals, Canadians can't afford to put food on the table. Let’s take all taxes off food to save you money and make groceries affordable: conservative.ca/cpc/make-foo…

Rising fuel costs are driving up inflation, and when truckers, farmers and families pay more at the pump, those costs ripple through the entire economy. Conservatives will continue to push for real fuel tax relief to save Canadians money. cbc.ca/news/business/inflati…

Today, members of the House of Commons observed a moment of silence in memory of the victims of the tragic events at Canadian Forces Base Wainwright in Alberta. My thoughts are with their families, loved ones, and the entire Canadian Armed Forces community during this difficult time.

Spoke with Canadian Blood Services. I’m told there is no emergency blood drive currently in Wainwright but they are taking appointments starting Tuesday in Edmonton. There has been an outpouring of support to offer blood and O positive and O negative blood is the most versatile and in high demand. If you can give please call +1 (888) 236-6283 Thank you everyone for your prayers and for being there for our men and women in uniform at this difficult time.
