Windows decided to play games today when I migrated my self-hosted server stack from a Wi-Fi dongle to a hardwired Ethernet connection. WSL2 and Docker decided to latch onto a ghost 192.168.137.1 ICS bridge, completely black-holing my Coolify containers and Cloudflare tunnels. The fix: Stripped out the lingering Internet Connection Sharing traps. Forced the physical interface back to DHCP, then locked in the static local IP (192.168.12.49). Cleaned out the Windows Hyper-V virtual switches and wsl --shutdown. Result? Zero Wi-Fi attack surface. Pure copper. Bulletproof self-hosted infrastructure.
