🚀 Glad to contribute to this study led by @BraintimeLab, where we explored why organisms prefer networks of autonomous #clocks over a single central oscillator, proposing enhanced robustness, specialization, and adaptability. 👇

Circadian clocks in the body likely 'entrain' themselves rather than hierarchically reset. Given internal cellular feedback, omics (Bharath @TimelyScientist) may accurately predict their phases via connectomics, something single-gene reporters cannot. doi.org/10.1016/j.sleep.2025…

Did you know your brain clock is the source of jetlag? It's Brain Awareness Week! Beyond its key roles, the brain's #circadian rhythm supports health through regular rest & sunlight. Celebrate the brain's wonders & nurture its health. #BrainAwareness #MindHealth
This book argues that generalists excel over specialists in solving #complex #realworld issues. Diverse perspectives and #creativity are key when there’s no clear optimal solution. It’s changed my view as a teacher, researcher, and parent. Highly recommend! #ProblemSolving

“Ten years ago I was kicked out and forced to retire.”
Our new medicine laureate Katalin Karikó (@kkariko) told us how much it means to be awarded the Nobel Prize after a scientific career that has been full of challenges.
Ten years ago, Karikó was still doing all her experiments by hand but today she has been awarded the medicine prize for her research on mRNA, which led to the development of COVID-19 vaccines.

This is very interesting 👏. I wonder if this would be more accurate if the comparison can be made within subject longitudinally?
