So frustrating for people in Roscrea, Cloughjordan, Nenagh, Birdhill, Castleconnel to get this from @IrishRail. We don't get more services for St Patrick's festivities in Limerick, we get fewer - no services at all on Sunday, Monday morning or afternoon on bank holiday weekends.
See below update from @IrishRail about our train line cancelled tomorrow morning with no bus replacement
No Limerick-Nenagh-Ballybrophy services will operate tomorrow morning Monday 06th January 2025. Due to poor road conditions there are no bus transfers available. This will be reviewed again tomorrow mid-morning. -AD @TFIupdates
78 people participated in the community train outing from Cloughjordan to Limerick on Ice today ! 27 adults 19 teens and 32 children. Thanks to @IrishRail for putting on an extra large train for our evening return trip. Great celebration of #Community and #RailTravel .
Nenagh community train trip to Limerick (to go ice skating) today Thurs 2nd, tomorrow Fri 3rd the Cloughjordan group will go!
We don’t disagree with @RailUsersIe particularly with the point it never ends well for the passenger. In our case as a result of poor decision making, we had no AM services which is not acceptable. @IrishRail need to step up & ensure our services run despite disruption elsewhere
Replying to @IrishRail
@IrishRail @TFIupdates @EamonRyan is it acceptable to cancel the services as a knock on affect of the failure of 1800 Dublin - Cork service yesterday?
Poor management decision on rescuing the failed train results in no AM services - with 2 trains a day it’s not acceptable!
@moranjohna1 @BrianLeddin @kodonnellLK @paul_gavan @QuinlivanTD @jackiecahillff @MlMcNamaraTD @alankellylabour @jackiecahillff We hope you agree this is not acceptable and still no signs of additional services.

Please note: Today, the 06th of August.
Due to operational issues, the following service will operate as a bus transfers:
06.45 Limerick to Ballybrophy
09.00 Ballybrophy / Limerick
-AB
Congratulations to @moranjohna1 in being inaugurated as Limericks first directly elected Mayor. He has an important role to play in delivering better public transport into Limerick- a quick win is to get the NTA to introduce more trains on our line from Limerick to Ballybrophy.
1/ We’re disappointed @IrishRail timetable consultation has no proposals to increase services. We’d like to encourage user to respond to it as it closes on Thursday & make it clear that no change is not good enough

4/More services & better connections delivers growth, opens more commuting options from stations on the line
Please respond to the lack of improvements proposed in this timetable which cover most of 2025.

Serious questions need to be asked about lack of new services on this line following the invesment in new tracks. @TipperaryRail

Fantastic to see @irishrail Nenagh so busy on Sunday with people heading to #Dublin. Approx 35-40 joined here & 51 left the train @ Ballybrophy. The return train ex Ballybrophy had 29 customers. Time for more services NTA @TFIupdates to tap into potential of route
@TipperaryRail
Having one return service on a Sunday is not enough. It’s time @TFIupdates move with the times & add more services. There’s been snail pace movement by the NTA to improve frequency of services on the line. @IrishRail tell us it’s not until 2026 before they can offer more services

Today, over 50 people joined us for our annual trip to @LimerickonIce from Nenagh on the 0950 @IrishRail train to Limerick driven by Ray. It’s a great way to introduce the young to rail but we now need @TFIupdates to deliver more services introduced in the next timetable.
