The more I look at whatβs happening around ripple:native , the more I think it could be go time for the ecosystem and XRP memes.
Weβve been discussing the $1.22 level for a while, looking for that liquidity sweep as an opportunity to start getting long. There is still support below us, which I covered in this weekβs newsletter, but structurally, thereβs an argument that things could kick on from here.
Then look at the wider picture.
This week, Ripple announced it had acquired the @XRP handle and XRP.org. That puts more attention directly on XRP.
Alongside that, the onchain metrics I discussed last week are starting to show activity returning. My view is that some of this is being driven by the XRP meme ecosystem.
Weβve seen the Fuzzy and Evernorth announcement, bringing a connection between an XRP treasury company and the meme ecosystem. That draws attention beyond institutional settlement and into whatβs being built around XRP.
Then thereβs drop-2:native @drop_xrp , which remains my favorite.
Against XRP, itβs sitting right at resistance. A break here would make things look pretty exciting. Against the dollar, thereβs an argument that it has already broken out of a key downtrend.
So are we getting close to a significant move for XRP?
Weβve got marketing, onchain activity ticking up, institutional connections reaching into the wider ecosystem, and XRP memes looking like they could be ready to move.
Individually, none of these guarantees anything. Together, theyβre getting my attention.

I noticed something interesting about many memecoins on XRPL. In many cases, nearly all of their liquidity is in the form of an AMM between XRP and the memecoin. This means that if the price of XRP (say, measured in dollars) goes up, say, 5%, the price of the memecoin (again, measured in dollars) goes up 5% automatically because the AMM maintains the same exchange rate to XRP.
Of course, the memcoin's price can change independently of the price of XRP. And an increase in the price of XRP leading to an increase in the price of the memecoin can trigger profit taking in the memecoin even if it doesn't trigger profit taking in XRP.
But still, it means that if you hold $50 worth of a memecoin of this type, one component of the future price of the memecoin will be changes in the price of XRP. In effect, you have some exposure to the changing supply and demand for the meme and some exposure to the changing value of XRP.
