Otter Pup 2 is now operating as close as 25 meters away from @GilmourSpace's ElaraSat, fully autonomously. This vid contains imagery captured when we were separated by just 33.6 meters.
We’ve demonstrated our ability to safely and precisely operate at very close range, executing intricate maneuvers, gathering detailed imagery, and testing the capabilities we’ll need for docking.
With this progress, Otter Pup 2 has officially completed Characterize, the penultimate phase of its mission. That leaves just one phase left: attempting docking, and a chance to make history.

Enjoy the sights and sounds of shipping Neutron's Stage 2 and Thrust Module to Launch Complex 3.
Just a reminder that there is a space company, who has the keys to space🔓, that's taking bookings for a real rocket🚀, and they're led by this guy:

It's very hard to tell from this picture but if you look closely you can see the Northstar Challenger towing @RocketLab Neutron parts. This is a drone shot from Lewes Delaware where it appears to be parked at the mouth of the Delaware Bay $RKLB
Narrator: "The storm" would take another 3 months and two margin calls to pass. It is, however, now over.
... next comes the Santa Rally into year end. I would not be surprised if we return to $120 by Dec 31. $RKLB
-63% off the portfolio high and -15% YTD - this one is starting to hurt🤕 but I'm grabbing the opportunity:
I've been consolidating:
401K - $RDW, $ASTS, and $LUNR all sold and moved into $RKLB
Trad IRA - All $RKLB shares moved into Leaps and all cash & $RIVN shares moved into $RKLB & $RDW Leaps
Roth - $RIVN sold for $RKLB shares and $RDW Leaps
Margin accounts fully deployed into $RKLB, $ASTS and $RDW.
Nothing left than to wait out the storm which to be fair has been a particularly terrible one so maybe we are now through it and just don't realize. $57.05 was the low? 🤞

It is still endlessly impressive to me that images of this fidelity can be captured between two objects zooming past eachother several kilometers apart at thousands of kilometers an hour relative to eachother
We're about to be spoilt with content. Just in time for Neutron 🚀 🎥🍿

UPDATE: I’ve joined the team at @RocketLab 🚀
Grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the future of space. Excited to share more about this special company alongside people I admire.

So refreshing 🐎🤠
Every 8 days an Electron rocket rolls off the production line thanks to our mission-obsessed team and advanced factories.
The Electron team is growing as we prepare to launch more rockets than ever before in 2027.
Role open across vehicle assembly, composites, GNC, propulsion, manufacturing engineering, software, and more. Those with automotive, aerospace, marine, aviation, and manufacturing experience are a great fit.
Come to New Zealand and Long Beach, CA to design, build, test, and launch rockets. Relocation support available.

It’s a beautiful day to set sail with the next pieces of Neutron flight hardware to Launch Complex 3.
Earlier today we sent Neutron’s Stage 2 and Thrust Module out of the Neutron Factory and onto a barge for transport through Chesapeake Bay to Wallops Island in Virginia.
Once it arrives, the Thrust Module will go straight onto the launch mount at LC-3 for check outs and the beginning of wider systems demonstrations including integrated fluids tests and module-to-launch-mount interface checkouts. With no strongback on the launch mount by design, Neutron’s Thrust Module is the rocket’s only physical interface to the launch pad, which this upcoming test campaign enables us to test early before the entire vehicle comes together.

Roll out solar arrays will be installed during next week's spacewalk. You can see two of them folded and ready to be installed and you can also see how they look when they are installed (look in front of the big ones - the new ones are smaller and slightly tilted).

$IRDM / $RKLB: A new federal filing shows the U.S. Navy added funding in July to its sole-source research contract with Iridium.
The contract is with Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren, the Navy's weapons and combat systems lab. It covers experimental defense R&D on Iridium satellite communications, plus satellite and hardware support. The Navy chose Iridium as the only company that could do the work, with no bidding.
The contract has been extended through May 2027, with an option to run into 2028.
Imagining the lorry flying out the jaws of this things is still pretty insane to me....
