Dear US government,
Since you've just blocked Fable and Mythos on critical national security grounds, here are some other tools that pose a similar threat to the American people:
- Microsoft Teams
- SAP
- Salesforce
- Jira
- Outlook
Please do what you must to save America 🇺🇸
‼️🚨 BREAKING: Amazon researchers snitched to the US government about jailbreaking Fable 5 and Mythos 5, forcing Anthropic to immediately shut down worldwide access.
A security export control directive from Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick enforced the action.
Anthropic is fighting the directive and calls it a misunderstanding.
This isn't the first clash. The Trump administration had already tried to get Anthropic to pause the release of its latest models before this directive landed.

A huge thank you to @dreamina_ai for taking Homo Sapiens to a global stage like Annecy (Dreamina AI Animation International Summit @ The 66th Annecy International Animation Film Festival) Finalists. This is huge for AI Animation Journey and congrats to all 30 finalists too! 🎉
And we are also so incredibly honored to be named a finalist for the @AIforGood Film Festival 2026.
Thank you everyone for your support! 🙏✌️

AI won't destroy creativity.
It will destroy the illusion
that difficulty was the same thing
as value.
That's why so many people
are losing their minds.

Here's a Chinese-room style thought experiment on AI as theft:
Take two sealed rooms, one containing a human artist, one containing an AI model. You don't know which is which. You feed both rooms with the life works of Salvador Dali and ask them to learn the style. You then return a month later and ask both rooms to produce an image in the style of Dali.
When these works are produced, is there an argument to be made that a crime of theft has been committed in one room, but not the other?

If Ai is theft, everything is theft.

I use AI at work, though it is often shepherding cats, but is it actually just a tool? It is not morally neutral: it is made up of the collective stolen knowledge and creativity of all humans, uncredited and unpaid labour of all people ever. 'thou shalt not steal'?

Anti AI fags when doctors use AI to help cure or diagnose cancer (they want to keep the cancer because generative AI is worse!!)

The negative opinions about AI today are the exact same ones I was reading 4 years ago. A lot of these people still have the same level of understanding they had 4 years ago, because most of them never really used it.
Many think AI means you show up, click one button, and the work is done. But that only shows they don’t understand the process. AI can automate parts of the execution, mostly the time-consuming and low-value parts, but the real value still comes from the artists upstream: the sketch, the strength of the idea, the taste, and the execution of the choices.
The funny part is that many people are only anti-AI when they know AI was involved. They could see an image, love it, call it brilliant, and then completely change their mind the moment they find out AI was part of the process. Just look at the recent troll around the Claude Monet painting.
And I’m seeing this happen more and more: anti-AI people sharing AI-made work without knowing it, praising it as “real work with soul.” That proves the problem was never really what they were looking at. It was the label.
At some point, we need to stop reducing a creative work to the tool involved. Otherwise, we should also judge 3D render engines, VFX, Photoshop/Procreate layers, brushes, cameras, lenses, and every tool that helps artists reach a result they couldn’t create the same way by hand.
Tools don’t create value by themselves. People do.

People just can't tell anymore. Just enjoy art in any form, doesn't matter what tool is used

funny you say that because ai literally requires human thinking to be useful. you still have to come up with ideas, decide what you want, give direction, evaluate outputs, reject bad ones, refine, edit, and know when something sucks. that’s not outsourcing thought- it’s applying thought through a tool.
a calculator doesn’t remove math. a camera doesn’t remove photography. ai doesn’t remove thinking.
-if someone types one sentence and accepts the first output blindly, sure. but that’s a user problem, not an ai problem.

They say this then they listen to it anyways because they have no way of knowing anymore
This isn't how the technology works. A diffusion model doesn't contain imagery to produce such a collage. It's a latent map of weights that represents an AI's generalization of patterns. This is similar to how we generalize as we learn to draw what we see.

They aren’t making art though, they’re having a computer compile millions of pieces of things it’s been fed in a binary way. It is the anti-art because there is no expression, it is the anti-human because there is no collaboration. It is simply “I want to feel good right now”
