It is my pleasure to announce that @XAODAOLLC proposal number 66 has passed approving deployment of 80% of the DAO treasury of @xrp ripple:native towards @Firelightfi.
To the best of my knowledge this milestone marks the first deployment by a DAO towards a multi-chain DeFi strategy that has the dual purpose of supporting decentralized insurance and earning yield for our members.
I want to thank my co-manager @FMXRP1, @HugoPhilion & the team at @FlareNetworks for the Flare Smart Accounts technology stack, and the amazing product opportunity offered by @Firelightfi .

Indeed the FCC white paper is impressive. There is so much more that Flare can do than what exists within the community narrative. It’s not just programmability for non smart contract coins. In fact this may be the smallest thing that Flare can do (don’t worry we are still launching FBTC).

Incubated by @SentoraHQ, Firelight starts from a simple observation: DeFi has made capital programmable. Its protection should be programmable too. Protection should be a key primitive of DeFi just as lending and market making.
A better ship reduces the chance of sinking. Insurance determines whether one lost shipment also destroys the merchant’s business. DeFi needs both better engineering and credible mechanisms for transferring defined losses.
In my essay, I explain our vision for programmable insurance: cover that vaults, protocols, exchanges, and fintechs can embed directly into their products, with explicit terms, risk-informed pricing, and independent claims assessment.
At launch, that includes Sentora’s USD Protected Vault and Protected RWA Vaults. Our partnership with @veda_labs extends this ambition toward the vault infrastructure layer.
The Risk Consortium brings together @HypernativeLabs, @nativeinsurance, @CredoraNetwork, @Cyfrin, and @labsGFX to independently assess covered events and losses.
Backed by an $8M seed round, our roadmap includes broader capital participation, deeper risk intelligence, and increasingly granular protection.
The goal is to help more capital participate in DeFi with risks that institutions can understand, budget for, and selectively transfer.
We have spent years measuring total value locked. It’s time to pay attention to total value covered.

New Flare block explorer! With respect to the Flare engineers who maintain the official explorer... it just doesn't feel good enough sometimes.
Sometimes I see FLR come in and I have no clue where it went - then I realize - it was sent to the P-chain! That isn't shown on the official explorer.
Some other things also just don't make sense like not showing WFLR values when being wrapped/unwrapped at a glance in TX history.
Or not seeing your P chain balances.
Or not seeing your active or past stakes.
Or not filtering spam NFT's and tokens from view.
Or not showing USD values for tokens.
Or not having a cool fella on the homepage whose head you can pat.
That is what Bloksee (without the c) aims to resolve.
I still have more feature ideas to come. This is an early experimental app - but ready for you to use today.

Conceptualising the utility of Flare’s protocols is one thing.
I’m building a new RWA product for the whole market that heavily uses FCC.
The Flare stack and in particular the FCC can (and IMO will) power so much of what everyone will want to do in crypto going forward.
