Obama tonight on his Cheesecake Factory line: "They mobilized a whole of government response to that joke. Not to inflation, but to that joke. The White House even called the Secretary of the Treasury. This is the man who is in charge of the economy. The person who's supposed to be figuring out how to make your life more affordable. The guy who's supposed to be figuring out how to lower inflation. And reduce interest rates. They told him he should hold a press conference in front of the Cheesecake Factory."

Obama: We've got a U.S. ambassador shaking down a donor to pay off her $100,000 credit card bills. A Venezuelan billionaire wanted a pardon, so he paid one of Trump's personal lawyers $50 million. This is a culture that's set at the top. We have never seen a president excel in straight-up grifting like this.
OBAMA: He pulled out of the JCPOA, starts this war—Seven months later, six months after they declared victory, how's that war going?
Our allies and our bases have been attacked. Americans have been killed. Hundreds of Americans have been wounded. We have run down our stock of missiles. And Iran now has veto power over the strait of hormuz, where oil goes through to the world market.
This is the reason why the price of oil is up. Nobody disputes that. This is the reason the price of diesel is up. This is the reason why the price of just about everything is up.
Meanwhile, you got the defense secretary who's squarely focused on important matters: the jawlines and testosterone levels of our troops.
These are not serious people. And the problem is you end up having to pay the price for their lack of seriousness.

Barack Obama decided to hit Pete Hegseth with the elbow from the top rope. Absolutely brutal takedown.

This James Talarico town hall on @CNN tonight is the best political conversation I’ve watched during any election cycle. The 1-1 with voters of all persuasions, allowing for back and forth dialogue and perspectives, should be a new standard.
I wish we had more of this instead of the algorithms and toxicity dividing us all.

What a pile of garbage.
You think the guy building your house for $20 an hour, or the farmworker picking your food for minimum wage, is why you can’t afford a home?
America is short roughly 1.2 million homes. JD Vance’s "affordability plan"?
Deport the workers who build them while Wall Street landlords and hedge funds keep buying entire neighborhoods.
He won’t touch the billionaires who own 50 houses.
But he’ll blame the guy sleeping 6 to a room so he can send money home.
This ain’t economics. It’s cruelty and BULLSHIT.

I tell you what’s interesting about this photo. It was posted on the official Irish presidency Instagram. They chose to put this out there.

Ken Paxton’s former top cop on why he’s voting for James Talarico:
I spent 2 hours with James Talarico. Number one, I saw no deception. He answered all my difficult questions. He didn’t dodge anything. He hit it head on.
I have been around politicians my entire life. I served 5 governors, I’ve met 4 presidents… And James Talarico is so different than other people I’ve encountered.
I think he’s the man who needs to go to Washington DC, and Ken Paxton needs to go home.

Ugh. Religious groups. Never ending effort to dictate a persons choice. We treat our dogs with better dignity at the end of their lives.
