The world’s largest floating offshore wind farm, Hywind Tampen, was opened today by 🇳🇴 Crown Prince Haakon & 🇳🇴 prime minister Jonas Gahr Støre. The farm has eleven 280-metre turbines connected to the Gullfaks & Snorre fields, and will cut CO2 emissions by ~200,000 tonnes/year 💨

Picture 3 📸(Equinor): The Dogger Bank O&M centre will support long-term local employment for commercial operation of the Wind Farm, with ~2,000 roles in total having been created over the planning, development and construction of the Wind Farm over the years.
This project is an example of what happens when renewable energy is prioritised by the Government with sensible CfD parameters.
Along with @OrstedUK Hornsea 2 becoming fully operational last year and Dogger Bank being operational by 2025 - we are hoping the UK hosts many more World-leading renewable projects for years to come...
