@RishiSunak @JamesCleverly @AndrewmitchMP You will all have seen the deeply upsetting reports of Ugandan government officials cheering as they pass a bill banning the basic human right to identify as LGBT in their country. What sanctions are the UK placing on Uganda as a result?
Please advise how the UK government will support the rights of LGBT+ people in Uganda - a commonwealth country. We need to make it clear that this Bill is not acceptable and is a violation of basic human right.
