Under Bill 60, the deadline to request a review of an LTB order has been reduced from 30 days to 15 days for orders issued on or after July 1, 2026. Internal review and decision-making processes should reflect the shorter window. Learn more: tribunalsontario.ca/2026/09/…

Today, I was pleased to join Premier @fordnation, Minister @gregorrobertson, @MayorOliviaChow and caucus and industry colleagues to announce that Toronto is receiving $1.5 billion through the Development Charge Reduction Program in recognition of its commitment to lower development charges and help get more homes built. This will provide over $80,000 in savings on the construction of a new single/semi-detached home. This investment is another way we are protecting Ontario by making it easier and more affordable to build homes. By reducing costs and increasing housing supply, we are helping more families, seniors, and individuals find a place to call home while building stronger communities across the province.

Lower costs. More homes. By reducing building costs and investing in infrastructure, we're helping communities get more housing projects off the ground and making it easier for Canadians to find a place to call home. And we are just getting started.

FRPO welcomes the Municipal Development Charge Reduction Program and commends the important groundwork laid by the Government of Ontario, and the federal government for taking it national. This is what happens when all levels of government work together to lower barriers, improve project viability, and support more purpose-built rental housing. @RobFlackEML @PBethlenfalvy @MarkJCarney @gregorrobertson @_MarkSutcliffe
