An honest question I can't find an official answer to: what happens to NIGHT that's never redeemed?
Here's what we do know, from Midnight's own guide:
▫️Claimed NIGHT thaws in four 25% tranches, 90 days apart, starting Dec 10, 2025
▫️Thawing ends Dec 4, 2026 - about five weeks away
▫️After the final thaw, the redemption portal stays open for another 90 days
So the practical deadline for every unclaimed allocation lands around early March 2027. After that, the official docs go quiet, no published answer on whether unredeemed tokens are burned, returned to a treasury, or redistributed.
Some of that NIGHT will simply never be redeemed. People who missed the announcement, lost wallet access, moved on.
I won't speculate on the answer, and you shouldn't trust anyone who does. Which means this is also a scam warning: there is no "unclaimed NIGHT giveaway", no deadline extension in your DMs, no recovery agent.
