An announcement:
We’ve decided to take an indefinite break from operating and publishing Topograph. This was a difficult decision, and the first thing we want to say is thank you.
🧵
With your donations, we have paid contributors to our first issue an additional honorarium and recouped some of the expenses associated with launching Topograph. Our website also has moved to a new URL, where it will live for the foreseeable future.

In our inaugural editors' note, we hype our excellent contributors and justify our existence.
In short: The natural and built worlds are trending toward sameness, so we're bumping setting up the chain of importance in fiction and life.

Boyo, we are glad we assumed designing this issue on our website would take twice as long as you might think. It's looking handsome. Two days till launch!
Is forgiveness possible? Thanks for the discussion on this very big Q to @readliberties and @washingreview. Moving, mind-changing, edifying, fun.
Last week, we went sledding in DC atop 4+ inches of snow. Today, it's nearly 80 degrees. @markv747 talks about "place lag," the feeling after a long flight of not believing you traveled so far so fast. What's the feeling of not believing changes in a place when you've stayed put?
