The future of @Starknet may be bigger than being an Ethereum L2.
One of the most interesting discussions around Starknet is the possibility of becoming an independent L1. And the reason goes beyond transaction speed.
Security and control matter.
Quantum computing could eventually threaten the cryptographic systems used across blockchain networks. Preparing for that future requires more than developing new security technology. It also requires the ability to implement upgrades when they are needed.
As an Ethereum L2, Starknet operates within a broader ecosystem where some security changes depend on Ethereum’s own upgrade and migration process.
An independent L1 could give Starknet greater control over its security roadmap, making it easier to coordinate post-quantum upgrades and adapt its cryptography as new threats emerge.
This is where ZK-STARKs, crypto agility, and a clear migration roadmap become important.
It is about gaining more flexibility over how Starknet evolves, how it prepares for future threats, and how it maintains security as technology advances.
AI is advancing. Quantum computing research is progressing. Blockchains need to think beyond today's challenges.
The real question is whether a network can adapt fast enough when the security requirements of tomorrow arrive.
And Starknet is exploring what greater independence could mean for that future.....

been spending some time looking into @grvt_io lately, and one thing caught my attention.
most traders face a simple problem.
your capital is either earning yield or being used for trading. doing both with the same funds isn't always possible.
GRVT is trying to change that.
right now, eligible USDT and USDC balances can earn around 3.5% base APY automatically, even when used as trading margin.
no need to lock your funds just to earn something.
and depending on trading activity, referrals and other conditions, rewards can potentially reach 11%.
but here's where it gets more interesting.
GRVT's roadmap goes beyond rewarding idle balances.
» GRVT Earn
planned tokenized fixed-income strategies targeting up to 11% APY, backed by sources like interest, premiums and invoice financing.
» Yield as Margin
planned for November, allowing eligible Earn balances to support trading positions while continuing to generate yield.
think about what that means.
instead of constantly moving capital between earning and trading, the same balance could serve two purposes.
that's a pretty meaningful improvement in capital efficiency.
I've also been watching their GLP liquidity vault and the recent 1.1M token burn.
the bigger picture isn't just about offering higher APY.
it's about making capital more productive without forcing traders to choose between earning and staying ready for opportunities.
of course, targeted yields aren't guaranteed, and trading still carries risk. the final product terms matter.
personally, I'm more interested in seeing how GRVT executes this roadmap than chasing the highest advertised APY.
