It is better to take three days off now than three weeks off three days from now. This is hard but important advice to follow and it holds true for both physical and mental injury, exhaustion, and burnout.

PSA to all athletes with a significant injury: >90% of the time it’s not the surgeon that defines your return to play… IT’S YOUR REHAB. . . @Me if you disagree.

Lateral swing which I pinched from @VernonGriffith4 many moons ago might be my favourite drill for separation for golf. Encouraging both Mobility & Strength, workouts, warmups it works for both. @CalumHill_golf demonstrates.

Simple standards you can implement at home or at work . . . 1. Anyone with enough energy to complain has enough energy to take responsibility. 2. If you complain about something, you are now responsible for it. 3. If you present a problem, propose a solution.

PSA: DON’T DO THIS! This is legitimately one of the most ridiculously unsafe things that I have seen someone do in a weight room. My man is going to slip or disc.... or worse; One of our athletes will attempt it and get hurt.
My back would be broken in 2 after that (via ig:julian_baldi) xitter.cf/RakeATeener/status/140…

If I had to feel motivated to start a workout I would have done 23 workouts last year, not 230. If I had to feel inspired to start writing there’d be hardly any writing. Want to stop 20 minutes in, fine. But give yourself a chance. On languishing and the art of showing up 🧵👇

Every time I tweet about how quick fixes do not work I lose a bunch of followers. I'm sorry, y'all. But THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES! Work hard. Be consistent. Pay attention. Adjust when needed. Be patient. Surround yourself wisely. Rest. The battle is simply staying on the path.

3 Reasons I’m a Going to Still Be Squatting When I’m 85 (most people don’t think about...) 1) I don’t want to have SOMEONE ELSE help me off the toilet 2) I want to EASILY walk up and down stairs 3) I want to be able to JUMP out of bed & live my life free of restrictions.

At this point the hip airplane isn’t anything groundbreaking but changing your position of support I think is. I like the feeling of getting long in that single leg deadlift position and extending overhead to create more tension while rotating. Always exploring

🗣🗣Say it louder for those in the back!
That is not a power clean. The word power refers to the catch position being above 90 degrees. He caught it in the bottom - thus this is just a clean. The bar starting on the ground has NOTHING to do with saying power clean. Also, it is a great CLEAN rep👏

Alright folks, tiny anatomy lesson. The psoas muscle group is made up of two parts. These muscles assist with hip flexion and can become tight from prolonged periods of sitting. Once this muscle group becomes tight the body will adapt usually causing #lowback and hip pain!
