No one is going to agree with me, but this image from the remaster BOTHERS ME. Huge ears of different shapes and heights, face too high on the head and one eye a different shape/size, shoulders hunched making him look thicker and killing the skinny SSG look. I can relax now.

Before anyone says it, yes this is petty. Yes Yamamuro is a better artist than me. And yes this was a massive waste of time.

I guess Vegeta hasn't mastered Super Saiyan then? Look, if you like the Toei version more, that's fantastic. I like it too! But to suggest that there's an objectively correct way to transform into Super Saiyan is either idiotic or dishonest.

To be clear, the above tweet isn't to deminish what Toei chose to do. It's a really cool idea and I loved it. I just don't see the need to try to rationalise a preference into something objective. There are plenty of things to love and fewer reasons to tear others down.

With less than an hour to go until DBS Beerus' version of the fight hits Japanese TV, I think it's important to look back at the original broadcast of Episode 5. It's harder to find these days with the Blu-ray corrected version dominating streaming sites, so here it is:

Dragon Ball Super: Beerus has ONE chance to fix Goku vs Beerus... How can they make this fight work? They'll need more than great animation. LINK --> youtu.be/u5PIJWA87gg

The fact Dragon Ball Super Beerus hardly has ANY new voice lines AT ALL, makes the absence of a timely English Dub even more of an insane meme. 💀

I live for drawings like this. There isn’t anything unique about the angle, pose or composition. It’s remarkably “standard”. And yet, this fucking artist was SO talented that none of that shit mattered and they delivered one of the best Super Saiyan 2 drawings I’ve ever seen!
