Lewis Hamilton says Ferrari are as good as anyone in the corners, but losing out big on the straights:
"We know through the weekend we look at the straight, like just up to Turn 1, when we cut power, they just keep pulling. That's similar in other places, like going into Turn 11. I think we might be similar in maybe into 12, but then the rest of the lap, a little bit. You see it on the overlay. I don't know what happened. My car felt really good. Lap was solid, so they were just quicker."
"I think our car is really solid. I mean, at least as good, if not maybe slightly better, maybe than the others. But I think they have closed up on chassis... And we're not able to take that step, in this season, to close that speed on the straight."
Toto Wolff pessimistic on race pace:
"The car is probably not as strong in race performance as the Ferraris and Verstappen, so we shall see how Kimi gets away, whether he's able to hold onto P1."
What the McLaren drivers had to say after Austin Qualifying.
Lando Norris -- "The car was the best it's felt, but I just did a crap job."
Oscar Piastri -- "I think the car has the potential to be quick, but it's just incredibly difficult to drive. It has been a challenge from the first lap yesterday until now"

Charles Leclerc -- "The out-lap was extremely difficult, there was a bit more cloud in Q3, we lost one or two degrees of track temp and for us it was night and day difference."
