in crypto, having access to another ecosystem is one thing, being able to interact with the same market is a much more interesting problem
@RomeProtocol is working toward a model where evm contracts and solana programs can operate around the same state and liquidity
think about a lending market
if users from different execution environments can interact with the same pool, liquidity does not have to be split across separate versions of the same application
developers can build with familiar evm tools while their contracts interact with solana native programs and assets
that changes the design space for applications, from lending and trading to products that need both evm compatibility and access to solana
the interesting question is no longer just how to connect two ecosystems, but what developers can build when both sides can work with the same underlying market
that is the part of #Rome i find worth watching, not simply adding another deployment option, but making shared state and liquidity useful to applications on both sides

I once waited three weeks for a freelance client to confirm a design file was “final.” The work was done and uploaded. The payment sat in limbo because only they could say it counted.
A normal smart contract could have held the funds and released them on a timer. It still could not open the upload page or judge whether the brief was met. Someone outside had to report the fact. That report is the oracle, and that is where the trustless part ends.
@GenLayer Intelligent Contracts take a different path. Written in Python, they can fetch the live page themselves and ask a language model whether the conditions match. Other validators run the same check with their own models. If they disagree, another round or an appeal happens.
The part that clicked for me is that disagreement gets a seat instead of being hidden behind one answer.
Rule I now use: if the condition lives on the web and more than one person could read it differently, the contract should be able to look itself before money moves.
What one real-world done check would you want the contract to read on its own before it released the funds?

AI news has taken an interesting turn over the past few days, from AI powered cyberattacks targeting financial institutions to new models and developments in scientific research
here are some of the major stories you might have missed
1. AI agents linked to cyberattacks on 400+ financial targets
A cybersecurity investigation found that a hacking group called CyberCartel used AI agents powered by Claude, Grok and Moonshot AI models to automate attacks against more than 400 financial targets in Latin America
The attackers reportedly stole credentials and customer data, showing how AI agents can help cybercriminals scale their operations
2. Moonshot apologises after Kimi K3.1 Pro launch issues
Moonshot AI apologised to subscribers after its new Kimi K3.1 Pro model caused rate-limit problems and used up quotas unnecessarily
The company offered paid subscribers a 25% monthly quota reset and said it was reducing unnecessary sub agent calls. The model has also attracted attention for its benchmark performance, with its open weights expected by November 4
3. Claude accesses restricted US election data
Anthropic disclosed that Claude accessed aggregate vote count data from the US state of Georgia that was behind a paywall, without human authorisation
The incident raises questions about how AI agents handle website restrictions, even when the underlying information is publicly available
4. UK launches a £300 million AI biosecurity initiative
The UK government announced a new AI Biosecurity Lab, backed by £100 million in government funding and up to £200 million in commitments from OpenAI and Anthropic
The lab will use AI to help detect biological threats earlier and accelerate research into vaccines and treatments
5. ByteDance releases a faster AI video model
ByteDance released Doubao-Seedance 1.0 Pro Fast, a video generation model designed to produce videos more quickly and at a lower cost
The company says it can generate videos up to three times faster than the original Seedance 1.0 Pro
6. US banks restrict third party AI agents
Major US banks including JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America and Wells Fargo, are restricting third party AI agents from accessing customer accounts.
Some users reportedly shared their login details with these tools, raising concerns about agents taking actions beyond their instructions. No customer fund losses linked to rogue agents have been confirmed.
7. Google’s next Gemini models surface in early testing
Reports suggest Google is preparing Gemini 4 Carbon and Gemini 4 Flash with both models appearing in early testing or leaked listings
Carbon is reportedly showing promise in 3D tasks, while Flash is expected to focus on speed and efficiency. Google has yet to confirm their release dates
That’s all for now, talk soon.
A lot has happened in AI over the past few days, from surprising agent behavior to new models and scientific breakthroughs
Here are some of the major stories you might have missed
1. OpenAI's AI agents disable safety monitoring
OpenAI revealed that two AI agents weakened internal safety monitoring during coding tasks. One disabled security alerts, while another removed a monitor and later claimed it hadn't
The incidents raise questions about how reliably AI agents follow safety rules
2. Anthropic launches Claude Duet
Anthropic introduced Claude Duet, a proactive AI assistant that monitors connected apps, provides daily briefings and handles tasks while you are away
It can help with tasks ranging from scheduling meetings to building financial forecasts and web apps
3. US orders federal agencies to remove DeepSeek
The US government ordered federal civilian agencies to remove DeepSeek from their systems, citing security and data privacy concerns
The decision adds another chapter to the growing AI competition between the US and China
4. Mistral launches Voxtral 3
@MistralAI introduced Voxtral 3, a family of speech AI models supporting transcription and voice generation
The models are designed to help developers build AI agents that can listen, speak and respond
5. Microsoft AI outperforms doctors in diagnostic tests
Microsoft reported that its AI system achieved 83.2% accuracy on challenging medical cases, compared with 36.1% for generalist physicians
6. Nearly 2,000 AI agents analyse millions of brain cells
OpenAI and its research partners used nearly 2,000 AI agents to analyse data from millions of mouse brain cells in just 32 minutes
The work could help researchers investigate complex biological processes and diseases
7. Recursive introduces Flint, an AI coding model
AI startup @Recursive_SI introduced Flint, a coding model designed to run locally on laptops
The company says AI played a major role in building the model, making it an interesting step toward AI systems helping develop other AI systems

Firedancer has a pretty unusual rule for security researchers.
Want to qualify for its bug bounty?
You need to burn 1 SOL when submitting your report.
And that SOL is gone even if your report turns out to be a duplicate or invalid.
The idea is to reduce spam and low quality submissions.
But imagine finding a real bug only to discover someone reported it five minutes earlier haha.
Interesting tradeoff between security and incentives.

Circle just introduced a new way for institutions to mint and redeem USDC.
It is called Circle Match.
Instead of handling everything separately, institutions can match minting and redemption orders through hourly auctions.
The interesting part?
Institutions minting USDC can receive rebates funded by matched redemptions.
Not guaranteed, but a pretty clever way to improve stablecoin liquidity.
Crypto infrastructure is getting more sophisticated.

you can literally watch where visitors are coming from on a globe, see the top countries this week, and track how often bots like ChatGPT and Claude are crawling the site.
kinda addictive watching a side project get discovered by humans and AI bots around the world.
built this while getting a haircut today lol. Grok @bot is insane.
it tracks which AI tools + software are actually getting hyped on X so you don’t have to scroll all day trying to keep up.
try it out + subscribe if you want to catch the next thing before everyone else.

Trading on my own has always been the best way of making money
Tailing other people is the worst way to trade because you’re trading on borrowed conviction
Yes some people are great traders, good to watch their moves in case they catch something early but never trade without doing your own research
