This is the back-up account of @tranmerekev which for reasons unknown I can no longer access.
Feel free to spread the word to any of my followers, or to anyone interested in my travels around the world watching random football ..and moaning about #Tranmere
The next game I go to, other than a bunch of old men, who should know better, having a kick-about in Ely next week for charity, will be a little bit special.
I just hope I've regained my old Twitter account by then.
Passport control at Bremen airport.
Was you here for Unity Day?
Me: No, football.
My collegue wants a word. Football? Where?
Me: Osnabruck.
People think its normal to spend 3, 4, 5 hours on a train to watch football.
Take an hour flight and they think you're a loon.
😀
Thought about a swift one in Bremen before heading to the airport, but "Tag der Deutschen Einheit" means its quite chaotic in town.
Free public transport throughout the region this weekend has probably drawn people into town.
Checked the Cambridge City score before TRFC. Saw we were 1-0 down at HT, didn't want it to ruin my day.
6.20pm CET saw the result.
Not that it has. The Man City shenanigans didn't ruin English football this week. Some of us where onto it years ago.
#AMF
Are we ready for another £100 European Away Day...with a twist.
I don't actually know which game I'm going too.
Its very much dependent on landing on time and skating through immigration and making a certain train.
✈️❓⚽🍺
They say "Football without fans is nothing"
Argentina has had a long term ban on away fans, so playing Copa games in neutral venues has allowed both sets of fans to travel, and create an even better atmosphere than normal.
Tonight, Racing vs Boca, in Rosario was been brilliant
Ahead of the Israel vs Ireland game tonight, its worth giving Ilan Pappe, the Israeli historian, a listen on the Second Captains podcast.
Liga MX never lets you down.
The most watched league in the USA, ahead of the English PL.
Toluca, two goals in around 70 seconds have made a game of it in Azteca.
2-0 down to 2-2 with half an hour to play.
The Red Devils have the bit beteen their teeth.
VAR.
We all hate it, and not sure if its being used in the USA vs Peru friendly (comms is in Spanish), but fuck me, that was never a penalty.
I'd imagine Paddington Bear is in some central London drinking den fumimg.
