Transport for Sick Children

Thanks to everyone who came to our AGM meeting last Friday. It was great to see so many drivers and also welcome attendees from Stockport Car Scheme, The Heatons WI, @stagecoachgm and @Innovate_Stock . After the official business everyone stayed to enjoy a buffet lunch 🙂

It's Community Transport week! #ctw26 It was great to go out today with Trish from Miles of Smiles @WeActTogether to talk to some of the local community at Shree Bharatiya Mandal in Ashton about Community Transport and being a volunteer driver😀

A big thank you to The Heatons WI for choosing us to be their Charity of the year to raise funds for. We look forward to meeting some of the members next Friday 16th at their first fundraising event at The Moor Club. Pop down and see us!

Only a week to go until our volunteer celebration, welcoming some of our current drivers and anyone interested in finding out a bit more about the charity. There'll be a light lunch and raffle, we're looking forward to celebrating with everyone😀

Nearly the end of Volunteer week but here at @TransportFSC we're extending it to Volunteer month! We're having a volunteer celebration on Tuesday 23rd June from 12-1.30pm at Withington Methodist Church (M20 4AN), current and potential new volunteers welcome! @Innovate_Stock

We'll be in Millgate shopping centre today for Bury VCFA Volunteer Fair from 10-4pm, pop down and see us! @BuryVCFA

It's National Volunteers Week! @volunteerweek, an opportunity to say thanks to all the amazing volunteers out there! Transport For Sick Children is very lucky to have such a dedicated team of Volunteer drivers and Trustees, thank you for everything you do for the charity😀

Just under 2 weeks to go until the Rochdale Volunteer fair with @WeActTogether. We're looking forward to meeting potential new volunteers on the 4th June at Rochdale Exchange shopping centre, pop down and see us! 😀

We are thrilled to say that at the @StockportCounty game last Wednesday night we raised a huge £840! Thanks so much to all the generous supporters who donated, our amazing drivers who helped and to all the staff at the ground who were so welcoming😀

We were sad to hear of the death of former Treasurer and Chairman John Adams last month. John's dedication was vital in helping the charity become a limited company and securing it's financial future. There will be a celebration of life at Adlington Memorial Park on 14th May, 1pm

We were very sad to hear of the passing of our former Chairman John Sagar earlier this month. He was Chairman from 2005 until 2016 and was key to growing the charity in to the organisation it is today. His funeral will be held at Rochdale Crematorium on Tuesday 12th May at 2pm.

Good news today on World Cancer Day, a national cancer care plan for children. Although the travel fund will come next year our drivers @transportfsc are always there to support families in Greater Manchester. @MFT_Charity @ChildhoodCancer @WorldCancerDay
