The spirit of ‘76 lives on in how we protect & uplift youth today. #YouthDay2025 #ProtectOurChildren #TriangleProject
Youth Day was yesterday.
But the work of protecting & affirming young people continues.
Last week during #ChildProtectionWeek, HSSP met with leaders & youth to build care-centred responses to harm.
Kujali House is transforming healthcare in Bellville one act of care at a time.
Inclusive, queer-affirming, and grounded in dignity.

How do we ensure that queer youth are not left behind in conversations about jobs, healthcare, and the future?
This #YouthDay, let’s move beyond hashtags.
Include LGBTI+ youth. Fund their leadership. Centre their experiences in every policy, every budget,
But young people are not just victims, they are visionaries, organisers, and builders of new worlds.
How do we reimagine schools as safe, inclusive, and affirming spaces?
South Africa’s youth face soaring unemployment, violence, and collapsing public services. For LGBTI+ youth, these struggles are compounded by exclusion, queerphobia, and unsafe schools that deny them the right to exist as themselves.
Happy #YouthDay 🇿🇦
From 1976 to #FeesMustFall, young people have been at the forefront of resistance risking everything to demand dignity, justice, and a future worth living for.
Today, that fight continues.
