Bitcoin had Miami.
Ethereum had DEVCON.
Now it’s Kaspa’s turn.
Introducing the Kaspa Conference: a 4-day experience bringing together builders, investors, and the $KAS community.
And we’re investing up to $1,000,000 in Kaspa startups.
Here’s what we’re building. 🧵

I completely agree. But people should also understand where Kaspa’s founder, Dr. Yonatan Sompolinsky (@hashdag), comes from.
His grandfather, Professor David Sompolinsky, was a distinguished microbiologist at Bar-Ilan University and a Holocaust hero who helped rescue hundreds of Danish Jews from Nazi persecution.
His father, Professor Haim Sompolinsky, is a pioneering physicist and theoretical neuroscientist affiliated with Harvard and the Hebrew University. He won the 2022 Gruber Neuroscience Prize and shared the 2024 Brain Prize, one of neuroscience’s highest honors.
Now comes Yonatan Sompolinsky: Kaspa’s founder, a Harvard postdoctoral researcher, and a co-creator of GHOST and GHOSTDAG. Three generations of extraordinary scientific accomplishment. This man comes from a family that knows what it means to achieve.
To me, he is a once-in-a-generation mind—the kind of talent you associate with a Leonardo da Vinci or an Einstein within his field. He is driving what I consider the best research and development team in cryptocurrency, pushing the boundaries of distributed consensus, transaction speed, scalability, and proof-of-work security. They are tackling the fundamental challenge of how fast a decentralized monetary network can operate while remaining secure.
It’s beyond my understanding why more people aren’t buying at these prices and buckling up for an extremely enjoyable, exciting ride of discovery and accomplishment in proof-of-work cryptographic programmability.
Bitcoin opened the door. That contribution is historic. Kaspa’s ambition is to carry that breakthrough forward and build the infrastructure for the financial and cryptographic demands of the next several decades.
That is the magnitude of what I believe we’re watching.

agreed on all points, yes 1st crypto purchase ever was 4/3/2023 and it was KAS. I had no clue what I was doing until it was too late.
What I’ve also learned over almost four years is that KAS isn’t executing standard monetization principles: defining its total addressable market (TAM), demonstrating a clear return on investment (ROI) for users, and executing a go-to-market strategy.
They’re taking what already works and advancing it to the next generation of technology. But I don’t know whether that improvement solves a big enough problem for people to pay for it.
The people with the liquidity the money - are invested elsewhere - that, to me, is why KAS is not listed on T1s. I fear the KAS community may get disappointed in the end but no without a fight and the Core Dev team is working their collective asses off.

well played - I say "im out" but I mean I will start a slow process of divesting over time and leave a small bag should KAS ever achieve its rightful place in the top 10.

i’ll do everything in my power on the technical side to help this initiative move forward and navigate any protocol-level obstacles along the way.
on a personal note, Alex has a rare mix of technical depth, bizdev talent and deep Kaspa knowledge. i honestly can’t think of anyone better suited to lead it, and i really appreciate him taking this on
Today we are introducing KaspaDollar, an initiative led by core developer @asaefstroem to build the first decentralized stablecoin on the $KAS network.
The developments around @kccforum and the Toccata hardfork have considerably widened what Kaspa is capable of. Capability alone, however, does not make an ecosystem. Decentralized finance requires a unit of account that holds its value, and until Kaspa has a stablecoin of its own, every application built on it will remain dependent on assets issued elsewhere.
The design we intend to follow is the decentralized, overcollateralized stablecoin: a pattern whose security properties have been examined and tested across the industry for the better part of a decade. With the support of the core team, we consider the conditions right to bring it to Kaspa.
Realizing this requires development, an independent audit, further research, and the operational work of taking a protocol from specification to production. To fund it, we are opening a fundraiser with a target of 5,000,000 KAS.
Contributions are made directly to the fundraising address published on the website. Should the target not be reached by 1 January 2027, every contribution will be returned to the address from which it was sent.
Up until that point, this account will share the plans, details and progress of the work as it develops.

I consolidated everything I had into KAS in 2023. Never sold any. Now I’m down $190K. The biggest financial mistake I ever made. I just emotionally accepted, in the past few weeks, that I may never see an ROI or even get the principal back.
KAS is building tech that is pushing known boundaries, not what the market is asking for… and absolutely ZERO commercialization efforts, no go-to-market strategy. “Build it and they will come” is the core approach. Time will tell.
I fell out of love with KAS, but the technology is and will be the pinnacle of PoW cryptography and digital programmability. BUT monetization is a totally different discipline, which I have not seen demonstrated.
KAS is a paradox… the absolute best and most notable and capable development team and founder in all of crypto, building products like pure futurists, but with no business acumen whatsoever.
The only reason I don’t dump my KAS right now is because I’m waiting for DAGKnight and Vprogs. But a few months after that, if I see no movement, I’m out.

@michaelsuttonil agreed to help. You’re telling me you can’t do the same? Donate 100 KAS and stop crying.
I agree—adoption of the KAS ecosystem by legitimate, reputable outside projects is nowhere near where I thought we’d be in Q4 2026. But we’ve gotta work with what we’ve got. At least this project has a roadmap and is asking for the funding to execute it. I’d like to see that same clarity from KII.

The detail worth reading is the deadline. Miss 5 million KAS by 1 January and every contribution goes back to the self-custodial address it came from.
No fund gets a discount, no insider gets an early allocation. A public target and a public refund rule. Try finding that in a seed round.
Kaspa Dollar Seeks 5M KAS to Fund New Stablecoin
KaspaDollar (@KaspaDollar) has announced plans for a decentralized stablecoin on the Kaspa network (@kaspaunchained) $KAS.
The initiative is led by core developer @asaefstroem and targets 5 million KAS in funding. The project aims to raise the funds to cover development, independent auditing, research, and launch operations.
KaspaDollar is planning an overcollateralized stablecoin designed to reduce Kaspa DeFi's reliance on assets issued elsewhere. The team says recent developments, including the Toccata hardfork, have expanded the network's capabilities.
Contributions will be refunded if the target is not reached by January 1, 2027.
