Maimonides in Mishneh Torah (Laws of Kings 9:2, 9:14) holds that non-Jews who worship false gods in the manner that incurs capital liability under Jewish law face execution by decapitation for violating the Noahide ban on idolatry. He classifies Christian worship of Jesus and the Trinity as such idolatry, stating it leads the world to serve a god other than the Lord (Laws of Kings 11; uncensored Maachalot Asurot 11:7). Later authorities often treat Trinitarian belief as permitted association (shituf) for gentiles. These rules applied only under full Jewish sovereignty with a Sanhedrin.
