On 15 August 1971, Richard Nixon cut the dollar's last link to gold. Until that day, any foreign government could hand America back its dollars and get gold at $35 /oz. By 1971, the US had printed far more dollars than it had gold to cover them, and countries wanted gold. So Nixon stopped paying out. Gold is over $4,000 today. It now takes more than 100 times as many dollars to buy an ounce. James Turk calls that gap a tax the American people paid without ever voting for it. Nixon said the suspension was temporary. That was 55 years ago.

“Volatility is vitality…”🙃😂 Won’t lie, right now I could step off this ride and take a break. However, seen as though that’s not an option I may as well stay bullish and keep buying. When we ran before to 80p+ I was a little gutted I didn’t make more of the 30’s. Now I can 💪🏻

Every Thursday morning, Smarter Web provides an update on activity across our two at-the-market facilities: - Ordinary Shares ATM Facility (SWC) - Preferred Shares ATM Facility (MORE) Both facilities are important parts of our capital strategy, but our focus remains on raising capital on terms that make sense for existing shareholders. MORE is not currently trading at its £100 reference amount. We recognise that developing a market for a new type of equity takes time, but we believe its combination of an attractive dividend yield, substantial asset backing, disciplined leverage and dividend cash reserves provides a compelling investment proposition. Our recent MORE buyback reflects that conviction. Turning to our Ordinary Shares, we do not control the share price, but we believe a premium above the current mNAV is justified by what we have built and the opportunities ahead. Ultimately, the market determines the price of both equities. But having the ability to issue shares does not mean we should issue them at any price. Our responsibility is to continue executing our strategy, allocating capital intelligently and building long-term shareholder value. We hope that our actions, disciplined capital allocation and consistent execution will translate into stronger total shareholder returns over time. LSE: #SWC #MORE | OTC: $TSWCF $MORPF | FRA: $3M8

If I was to set up MORE.live and list all the Bitcoin preferred stocks and how much Bitcoin they raised via ATM daily, would you @STRC_live mind? Asking for a friend teapaw.org/TuftyRaul/status/21056…

Nice to see a 3rd post from the LSE inside a week championing the arrival of a British engineering company on AIM last Weds. Any chance of a little bit of coverage of Smarter Web’s MORE perhaps? 🤔 I am sure the SWC team can help provide the imagery!

Fantastic news from Smarter Web’s with today’s announcement confirming both the listing of MORE on the US market of the OTCIB, and a small buyback signal given. I think I’m right in saying that - from today’s current pricing level - there is no other Bitcoin backed pref in the world that offers a better combined return of income and capital appreciation potential than MORE 🇬🇧/ MORPF 🇺🇸 MORE's 12% annual dividend rate, which is calculated against its reference £100 per share, means.. 🟠Annual dividend: £12 per share 🟠Effective dividend yield at the current buy price of £84: 14.29% 🟠Capital appreciation potential: 19.05% 🟠Combined illustrative one-year return: 33.33%, assuming a full year's dividends at 12%, a £100 exit price and no reinvestment. Giddy times. Giddy up.
Smarter Web has bought 1,775 MORE shares at £80.354 per share. US investors can now also access MORE through the OTC ticker MORPF. MORE combines a high dividend yield with substantial asset backing, a disciplined approach to leverage and a rolling two-year cash reserve for Preferred Share dividend payments. At a price of £80.354 per Preferred Share, MORE offers an annualised dividend yield of 14.93% based on the prevailing variable dividend rate. We believe that the current market price does not fully reflect the characteristics of MORE, particularly when considered alongside the strength of The Smarter Web Company's balance sheet. Our decision to purchase 1,775 Preferred Shares reflects that conviction. We recognise that market pricing is ultimately determined by investors, and we will consider further purchases of Preferred Shares on an ongoing basis as deemed appropriate. Our ambition is to establish MORE as a successful, sustainable and widely held preferred equity. LSE: #SWC #MORE | OTC: $TSWCF $MORPF | FRA: $3M8

Hi. I'm your melatonin, the hormone your brain releases when it gets dark to tell your body it's time to sleep. And honestly, you're making my job really hard. ⠀ Here's how my day is supposed to go, and what you actually do to me. ⠀ 7:00am ⠀ ✅ Supposed to: sunlight hits your eyes, I clock out, and you wake up clear-headed ⠀ ❌ Reality: you scroll your phone in a dim bedroom, I hang around, and you feel groggy ⠀ 12:00pm ⠀ ✅ Supposed to: bright daylight all around you, so I can peak higher tonight ⠀ ❌ Reality: you sit under office lights at about 500 lux. Even a cloudy sky is 10,000 ⠀ 5:00pm ⠀ ✅ Supposed to: some late afternoon sun, so tonight's lights can't push me around as easily ⠀ ❌ Reality: you drive home with the windows up and go straight inside ⠀ 9:00pm ⠀ ✅ Supposed to: it gets dark, I start rising, and you get sleepy on time ⠀ ❌ Reality: overhead lights, a bright TV and your phone inches from your face. For some people, even 6 lux is enough to cut me in half ⠀ 11:30pm ⠀ ✅ Supposed to: you've been asleep for an hour ⠀ ❌ Reality: you're still scrolling, then you take a melatonin gummy that often doesn't even have the dose the label says ⠀ I'm not asking for much. Sunlight in the morning, daylight all day, darkness at night. ⠀ I'll handle the rest. ⠀ Love, Your melatonin

£20,000 IN AN ISA. BUY $MORE AT £80 OR £100. WHAT DIFFERENCE COULD IT MAKE OVER 40 YEARS? Following my previous post about investing £20,000 into $MORE and reinvesting the weekly dividends, here's something interesting to consider. WHAT IF YOU BUY $MORE AT £80 TODAY AND IT RETURNS TO £100? Your £20,000 buys you 250 shares. At £100 per share, those shares would be worth £25,000. That's £5,000 of capital appreciation, or 25%, before considering dividends. And here's where it gets interesting. Assuming MORE continues paying a 12% annual dividend on its £100 reference amount: Your 250 shares generate £3,000 annually. That's a 15% annual yield on your original £20,000. Someone investing £20,000 at £100 gets only 200 shares, generating £2,400 annually. YOU OWN 25% MORE SHARES. YOU RECEIVE 25% MORE DIVIDENDS. Now imagine MORE reaches £100, stays there, and you reinvest every weekly dividend at a constant 12% annual rate. Let's compare the two investments. AFTER 10 YEARS £20,000 bought at £100 → £66,311 £20,000 bought at £80 → £82,888 AFTER 20 YEARS £20,000 bought at £100 → £219,855 £20,000 bought at £80 → £274,818 AFTER 30 YEARS £20,000 bought at £100 → £728,935 £20,000 bought at £80 → £911,169 AFTER 40 YEARS £20,000 bought at £100 → £2,416,806 £20,000 bought at £80 → £3,021,008 THAT'S OVER £604,000 EXTRA AFTER 40 YEARS. And remember, both investors originally committed exactly the same £20,000. The only difference was the price at which they bought their original shares. Buying at £80 means starting with 250 shares rather than 200. Those extra 50 shares generate dividends. Reinvest those dividends and they buy additional shares. Those shares generate even more dividends. The compounding continues. THE PRICE YOU PAY AT THE BEGINNING CAN MAKE AN ENORMOUS DIFFERENCE AT THE END. And if dividends are reinvested while MORE is still trading below £100, those reinvestments could buy even more shares. All within a Stocks & Shares ISA, where eligible dividends and gains are free of UK tax under current rules. These are hypothetical scenarios, assuming the share price reaches £100 before the illustrated compounding periods, remains there, and dividends continue at 12% with immediate weekly reinvestment. They exclude fees and inflation. Dividends, share prices and future returns aren't guaranteed. £20,000 invested once. No top-ups. Just the mathematics of buying below par and allowing compounding to work. $MORE $SWC #MORE #DividendInvesting #CompoundGrowth #StocksAndSharesISA #LongTermInvesting
